Beauty Advent Calendars 2020

After a weird year, who is thinking about treating themselves? Can’t believe how quickly this has come round!

Nothing is out yet but some places are keeping waiting lists for notifications e.g. Cult Beauty. The John Lewis sneak peak looks promising. And I believe Body Shop is out the end of this month.

Any you will be looking out for? I’m thinking of splurging on a decent one this year — I had serious envy over Cult Beauty last year. I’ve also become a huge SpaceNK fan this year so I’ll have my eye out to see what they’re producing.

My big surprise hit last year was Holland and Barrett — super cheap and some brilliant items. If it’s as good this year I might end up with that as a bonus.

I agree the Boots calendar seems better at the lower piece, obviously, but it didn't make sense for it to be the same price as Look Fantastic due to the brands

I'd be interested in a stationary calendar or something of that nature

I've enjoyed the Ciate calendar before but I haven't painted my nails in ages so wouldn't go for that now

Today has certainly been the day for advent calendars.

Decided to keep both the White Company & Rituals calendars. DH wants to get me the WC one for my Christmas pressie so that’s how I’m justifying it & it’ll be such a treat in January.

Mum was also looking for an AD & convinced her to get the Arran one. She didn’t want to spend more than £40 & wanted shower/body cream bits. I’m excited for her as that one looks lovely.

Me & mum went halves on a Body Shop AD for my sister as well. I also bought a build-your-own remote control car AD & a playmobil one for DS1.

I totally would buy a sex toy/yarn advent calendar, definitely a gap in the market there!

I think they will be in the shops in a couple of weeks, maybe worth putting your name on a shop list?

My Harvey Nicks GWP just turned up - very pleased with that selection, just a couple of vibrant lipsticks that I won't use - but I'll save those for a swap thread.

Just updated my list of what's in my stash, and arguably I don't actually NEED an advent calendar as I've got loads of stuff. Obviously I'm going to get one anyway though!

John Lewis one is supposed to be released today - thought it would be a great present for a friend who has had to cancel all of her 'big' birthday celebrations. But I can't find it on their website to buy! Am I missing something?

I received confirmation that the the discounted Space Nk advent is shipped! I know few were concerns if they will honour the discounted price

I have never tried No7 products. Are they any good?

I don't mind some no 7 products, not overly keen on the make up but the skin care is okay. It's expensive I feel for what it is when it's not on offer, but the advent calendar last year was great, and a really good way to try some of it out. The only negative was that some of the doors were vouchers, which is good as you can choose your shade etc, but if you don't live near a big boots then it makes it really hard to use. Hopefully this year all of the doors will have actual products in them! It says sold out in 2 days on there, I think it was even quicker than that online.
