Beauty Advent Calendars 2020

After a weird year, who is thinking about treating themselves? Can’t believe how quickly this has come round!

Nothing is out yet but some places are keeping waiting lists for notifications e.g. Cult Beauty. The John Lewis sneak peak looks promising. And I believe Body Shop is out the end of this month.

Any you will be looking out for? I’m thinking of splurging on a decent one this year — I had serious envy over Cult Beauty last year. I’ve also become a huge SpaceNK fan this year so I’ll have my eye out to see what they’re producing.

My big surprise hit last year was Holland and Barrett — super cheap and some brilliant items. If it’s as good this year I might end up with that as a bonus.

Can I join? Just had an email to say my glossybox advent calendar has been dispatched. Ive been really impressed with their monthly boxes this year so hope that's positive.

Is there any others I "need"? I got the ASOS one last year but it looks a bit uninspiring . The look fantastic one is tempting me.

Disappointed in that paperchase one, I was hoping it would be OK for my DD8. However, I've saved all the boxes from last year's ASOS one so will make her a custom one with leftover glossybox/birchbox bits and ive bought some bits of tat from tiger too

TokyoSushi M&S aren't doing an advent calendar this year. Lots of us are getting the Holland & Barrett Advent calendar instead which is the same price and very good. M&S will be doing a beauty box for £20 plus purchase later this month.

The Paperchase one is still crap and looks like it came out of crackers. Reminds me of the terrible Zoella one from a few years ago

IIRC I think there was a bit of annoyance generally about Paperchase’s calendar being a bit crap last year. Looks like they haven’t learned from last year as this year’s looks just as uninspiring. There are a couple of stationery calendars on Etsy, but I think I’ll stick to my Inku subscription box from Japan!

You know...I’d love a stationery calendar but I want something luxe with decent bits in it, not a couple of random paper clips, some drawing pins, and a cheap notebook. I don’t know, maybe I’m expecting too much. But I like my stationery to be substantial.

I like Paperchase too, so I wish it was better. 😬

You are making me think I might treat myself to a full sized bottle of the gorgeous Peony perfume rather than a beauty advent calendar. But also get the Diptyque one as an enormous treat.
