I have those in black, complete with bow.

I bloody love them.

I wear them with a jumper with the sleeves pushed up and a long sleeve t-shirt underneath, a plain black skirt and dinosaur print black tights.

They are supremely comfortable, keep my feet reasonably warm and dry, and, (and I really can't overstate this) they are supremely comfortable.

Go for it op.

You only live once and life is too short for boring shoes.

I want those ones now too though Grin

Found them Grin

I won’t be bothering as they are children’s shoes lol

Awful. Ugly, ugly shoes.

You could - but really why would you?

Because she likes them? Just throwing that idea out there

But really, why wouldn't you? They are sturdy, comfortable, silver goes with everything, will last forever and the bow is removable in case of emotional/social trauma. Why would you want a pair of completely forgettable ballet pumps instead?!

Which are avaliable up to size "older 5". Which fits me perfectly, and I take an adult 6 minimum in Doc Martens boots. They run big.

You've already made your mind up OP

Update us with a pic of you wearing them when you've bought themGrin

If you have to ask 'am I too old to wear something' then you're too old to care what anyone else thinks!

Wear them and love them and give yourself a little smile when you look down and see your feet or catch a glimpse in a reflection!

They are really uncomfortable. My dd has had a black pair for years and they've never softened up. She put up with bleeding ankles determined to wear them, eventually they were lobbed in the back of the wardrobe.

Yay! I checked my pockets and I find I have all run out of fucks to give over what anyone else thinks of what I wear! I don't think this board is really the place for me!

Could you post a photo with them on when you get them. Don't have to show your face just what you are going to wear with them.

Report
SpottyShoeBow · 17/02/2020 22:10

I'm far too young to do Baby Jane. I have another 20 years of being a Grayson Perry/SU Pollard mash up to go yet..

Oh I like them. I have a silver pair a bit like that from Fitflop, I wear them with a denim mini (Or midi) or black skinnies.

I have sworn off shoes that I cannot walk in comfortably

It has made my life better (even if DH calls them my lesbian shoes Confused)

No.. But I tried a pair of black cotton dungarees on in Seasalt yesterday, so perhaps dangerously close?

Jeeeeesus they are horrific. Sorry OP, but that's a joke, right? I wouldn't put them on a 5 year old let alone a 50 year old.

Report
JaneJeffer · 17/02/2020 23:07

a bit Baby Jane that's the first thing I thought of when I saw them Grin

However I think everyone should wear what they like regardless of age.
