I'd probably wear them with black skinnies, coloured opaques, and a jumper/shirt. Not too outrageous I don't think.

My “quirky” friend would wear them - she’s 40. And I love the fact she wears what the hell she wants!

If you like them, why not, but depends on the outfit? Without the bow, maybe at a push. With the bow reminds me of Grayson Perrys' shoes!

Actually I love them! Wear them if you like them. They do look comfy.

I'm 52 and I wear whatever I want. Those aren't really to my taste but I do have some Agnes DM's in that colour, they're absolutely gorgeous.

I really like them (I'm 35). If you like them, go for it! In fact, I'm going off to google them now...

I have been trying to find a photo without the bow because I think I would like them but my favourite shoes are Clark’s Trigenic Tribeca which are similar but lighter .

Sorry not that colour, but a light grey. I see those are sparkly. You can still wear them though.

MY DM79 has these in black patent and they look gorgeous... and NO she's not remotely 'whacky' she's elegant/beautiful but needs sturdy flat comfy shoes... And I too wear silver/sparkly shoes with 'personality' - i don't give a fook about age/rules... long time dead and all that

3 questions I ask when I'm not sure.

Do I like them?
Do they do them in my size?
Will I wear them?

If yes to at least 2 of them, get them!!!

She can if she likes them

They are incredibly comfortable. The bow is removable if scared of being mistaken for Grayson Perry.

What on earth has your age got to do with it?

If you like them, if they fit, if you can afford them - then buy them.

And stop with the ageism.

Clammyclam · 17/02/2020 21:45

Yes!!! Yes you should and can
Ignore the others
I have them in black patent and they are brilliant
Buy them and enjoy them

I'm a middle aged woman and I can wear what the bloody heck I want! Just as any woman can, whatever their age.

Would I choose to wear those? Nope. However, if you like it then go for it and screw what anybody thinks.

It's no one else's business what you choose to wear on your feet.

If they bring you joy then buy them and wear them!

Report
MrsCobbit · 17/02/2020 21:52

You could - but really why would you?

Report
Nonnymum · 17/02/2020 21:52

Where what you want. If you like them ans they are comfortable were them it doesn't matter what anyone thinks.
