I have a precious Christmas tree decoration from the Diana exhibition ( since closed down ) at Althrop that I visited years back.
It was a long solo trek from London by public transport but sooo worth it.

I think both Edward (David) and Wallis had fertility issues. Hers through miscarriage (abortion?) and his through mumps. Just been down a wiki hole. I think I might see about tracing down a biography of him. Interesting man. And potentially not a very nice one.

I haven't read a decent biography of Wallis but there's one called something like That Woman which is supposed to be good and goes into why it wasn't the love match we were led to believe. Certainly not from her POV.
