Controversial opinion.

I didn’t love Eugenie’s tiara. Thought it looked a bit Wonder Woman

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 07/12/2019 22:04

I can't stop looking at the magnificent shelf of a bosom the old fashioned lady has in wetdogloveshuberts picture. That's some serious scaffolding!

WineOrGinOrBoth · 07/12/2019 22:14

I’m very very cross that not only do I not have a tiara but I wouldn’t have anywhere to wear it even if I did have one.

Maybe I can start a crowdfunding to buy myself a tiara 👸 Grin

IfWishesWereFishes · 07/12/2019 22:21

Same here @MilleniumHallsWalledGarden they're practically bumping off her chin!

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 07/12/2019 22:27

My favourite British tiara is the Grand Duchess Vladimir tiara with the emeralds rather than pearls. My overall favourite is Max's Bandaux (sp?) which if fabulous in its big-stoned simplicity.

Checking in and loving the tiara chat!

Watching The Crown. If Edward hadn't abdicated and had still married Wallis who would have taken the throne next? Would it still have been the Queen? Or were they young enough to have had kids??

StartupRepair · 07/12/2019 22:44

Wallis was beyond kid age so it would still have been the Queen but 25 years later.

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/12/2019 22:59

I think that's Queen Mary's mother in the Victorian photo. She was known as Fat Mary within her family!

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/12/2019 23:02

Wallis was 40 when she married the DoW so though not young she was by no means too old to have children. But I think it's believed that she either had a miscarriage or termination during her first marriage which rendered her sterile or the Duke had problems downstairs.

Just placemarking... thank you for new thread, looking forward to some sparkle and Christmas action.

StCharlotte · 07/12/2019 23:12

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden I agree - Max's diamond bandeau is the one I daydream about wearing the most!

StCharlotte · 07/12/2019 23:17

I quite like how the Swedes share their tiaras around. You never know who will be turn up wearing what.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 07/12/2019 23:20

It's

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 07/12/2019 23:23

It's just perfect. I love huge diamonds and I had no idea until I started following these threads Grin

Hairydilemma · 07/12/2019 23:26

Not tiara related specifically, but for anyone who likes a bit of Diana, I’ve found this Twitter account that posts a daily Diana engagement with pics: mobile.twitter.com/princessdibooks

pastaparadise · 07/12/2019 23:51

Has Kate ever worn this necklace? Matches her ring beautifully.

StaggeringOn · 07/12/2019 23:55

Kate’s wedding tiara looks very insignificant compared with both Eugenie’s and Meghan’s.

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/12/2019 23:58

That's a gorgeous picture of Diana. What beautiful skin she had.

itswinetime · 08/12/2019 00:36

Kate's wedding tiara was an odd choice in my opinion I can see why she has never worn it again.

I am sure I have seen Kate in the earnings from that set so she must have the necklace but I don't think I have ever seen it, unless they changed the setting and I have recognised it.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 08/12/2019 00:55

Thanks again for the new thread Queen.
If I ever win the Euromillions or write a best selling novel, then I'm commissioning myself a tiara.
He'll if I win big like £100 million , I'll be making you all your own bespoke tiaras! Grin

GlamGiraffe · 08/12/2019 00:55

Back after an undesired (on my part) absence.
Oh how I love bling.
I think I need head , or at least hair implants to feature such a monster and not look like either an American beauty pageant winner with one towering precariously above me, or wonder woman. Serious quantities of elnette are at work in these photos. I can quite see why Kate went for the smaller one to begin with. How do they not slide down your head. Just imagine the pins holding them on😫

I keep hinting To DH when I see a lovely antique one in Burlington arcade or somewhere, (just to wear every night for dinner or in the bath) but he doesnt seem to notice. I'm not sure why🤔

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 08/12/2019 00:57

P.S. I'm a regular old poster who has just name changed.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 08/12/2019 00:58

Glam I'm sure your DH is lovely but he needs to let his imagination run wilder Smile

GlamGiraffe · 08/12/2019 01:27

@TracyBeakerSoYeah
Exactly!
Imagine how much better an emergency sainsbury pizza would taste if he was looking a me being fabulous wearing a tiara😁

GlamGiraffe · 08/12/2019 01:29

I suppose when we all whip our our jew crowns we need personal hairdressers at hand?

How long do you think they take to fix in?
