There's Louis, Viscount Althorp, kitty. He's 25ish, would he do?

StCharlotte · 07/12/2019 13:20

I don't love amy of Sophie's tiaras.

I am very intrigued by the "The Aquamarine Pineflower Tiara" worn by Princess Anne - it's a new one on me and that picture doesn't do it justice I think.

Brigitte has lucked out tiara-wise. She has some beauties. Shame she just plonks them on a non-tiara blow dry.

StCharlotte · 07/12/2019 13:23

Hmm. Not so sure. Not keen on the gaps.

Ada bit young really, I've got twenty years on him! But never say never (and I'm sure there's airing cupboards in Althorp big enough to pop Haakon in) Grin

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/12/2019 14:04

A lot of Camilla’s fab jewellery is from the Queen Mother, which originally came from the Greville bequest

Mrs Greville was a “ social climber” who left 60 pieces of her jewellery to the Royal Family

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/12/2019 14:06

Viscount Althorp.
Time to make space in that airing cupboard @frugalkitty

I've chosen my new tiara - thank you for the link.

It's a less well known one so if the 'royal tiara giver-outer' is reading this thread I'm hoping that gives me a bit more of a chance.

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/12/2019 14:54

I can see both Charles and Victoria in Louis.

Speaking of Spencer’s; here is Raine, Countess Spencer Diana’s stepmother, who was quite the pantomime dame.
That hair is quite stupendous!

Sophie Wessex's one looks like it's from How To Train Your Dragon.

Not enough tiaras in everyday life, I don't think. I'm going to stick mine on now.

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/12/2019 15:53

I don't think Raine could fit a tiara on that barnet!

I'm wearing my own tiara while I'm writing Christmas Cards. Gives a whole new meaning to "party antlers" Crown Grin

FawnDrench · 07/12/2019 16:25

Well Raine is most certainly her mother's daughter...

MotherofPearl · 07/12/2019 16:42

Raine's hair Shock

Horsemad · 07/12/2019 17:15

Ooh, Louis is handsome 😍 he's the map of his mother though; can't see his father at all!

StCharlotte, I love your tiara, very festive!🙂

MotherofPearl · 07/12/2019 18:09

I love Leti's suit here, though those shoes look awfully pointed and uncomfortable.

EmGee · 07/12/2019 18:17

Leti is always out and about isn't she?
She is always looks chic and well put together even if I don't always like her outfits. I think it's cos she's continental European. I live in France and often think it's true French women are chic-er than their UK counterparts.

SenecaFalls · 07/12/2019 18:41

I love the antlers tiara!

Spudlet · 07/12/2019 18:55

Raine’s hair is something else. Keep naked flames well clear!

banivani · 07/12/2019 19:12

I happened to pick up an evangelical Christian magazine in a charity shop today and there was an interview with Queen Silvia in it. This is quite remarkable in itself because speaking to a religious magazine would be considered a bit political in a way that the royals are not supposed to be and it did look like it was an actual interview? But anyway, there were two photos in it I wanted to post for you, one were you can make out her bracelets which are probably charity ones for Childhood (ignore horrible proportions from me holding the magazine funnily). Also they posted a family photo from the 80s with Madeleine bawling and the other two making faces, which tickled me.

Love the hair above !!!!!

Thank you, @QueenOfTheAndals, for our latest wondrous thread of diamonds. I loved the 40 tiara rundown - what sparklers they have! Personally I prefer those which sit a little lower in the hair, as the tall ones look completely overwhelming to wear.

This is the Teck Crescent Tiara - great weight, clear design, and fabulous jewels accompanying it!

This Duchess is not anyone's favourite, but boy are her tiaras sparklers.

I always think Mary of Denmark has a bit of a meagre tiara collection. Just a couple of little ones, apart from the fab Bernadotte ruby set.

Spudlet · 07/12/2019 20:41

See I love Camilla’s gigantic tiara, but you need the gigantic (possibly inflammable) blow dry to balance it out, I think. Not sure it would work as well without that.
