Is this dress too short for 39!?

I got this dress from whistles which I love until DH said it was a touch too short. I'm 39 years old and don't want to look mutton!

What do you think?

That’s nothing to do with your age or body shape though. I find Whistles stuff always comes up too short.

I think your dh is probably more concerned that it’s quite ‘sexy’ - my own dh loves me wearing stuff like that as he’s a perv! I’m same age as you and as long as it’s with black tights I think it looks fine.

I'd wear it at 51. Wear what you like and feel comfortable in. It's a great dress and you look good in it.

Wear what you like. It is a very pretty dress and I have similar. Age is irrelevant.

Short skirts, tights, para boots.

I have been rocking this look since I was 19 and I will continue to rock it until I am 90!

If I have my legs amputated I will strap paraboots to the foot plates of my wheelchair.

It doesn't matter how old you are! You need the legs for a short dress, and you have, so if you like it and feel comfortable in it, absolutely go for it. You can totally put that off

It's easier to wear shorter skirts in the winter with black tights anyway.

A 20 year old might not have the right legs and body shape, but you do, go for it.
