Is this dress too short for 39!?

I got this dress from whistles which I love until DH said it was a touch too short. I'm 39 years old and don't want to look mutton!

What do you think?

It's a great dress -- you have a great figure and you are defo not too old, but I'd wear flats or chunky boots with it rather than the thin heeled boots you have on. The rule is that if you are pushing the 'modesty' thing with one aspect of your clothing, you tone it down with another; and if you wear one item that could look frumpy, you 'tart it up' with something a bit more sexy. So, for example, body-conscious skimpy top paired with wide leg trousers; or frumpy-ish skirt with stilettos.

Personally, I'd stick with the short dress and high heels.

The combination is hardly pushing the boundaries of modesty! Not even anywhere close.

I think context is everything in this case. On a nigh out, evening do? Would think it twice! In a work environment? Maybe depending on where. U work and what u do. On the school run? Too short. A job interview? Nope unless people to gossip thats the only reason u got the job.

Do you feel good in it? Becouse that's all that matters. I think it looks great.

It would be fine in my corporate professional workplace. Law is the most formal environment there is so I hardly think it's a reflection of what's acceptable in most offices. Not that you wanted to wear it for work anyway!

I was wondering that too @kenandbarbie. I'm guessing Reddit? Usually the other place means Nethuns does it not? Can't imagine this is a talking point on there tbh.
