Is this dress too short for 39!?

I got this dress from whistles which I love until DH said it was a touch too short. I'm 39 years old and don't want to look mutton!

What do you think?

You are asking if it's too short. Why would you do that unless you think it is? Lovely figure for wearing it if you decide to. Only negative and it may be due to the photograph is that you look as if you would be wobbling in those boots.

I don't even think that looks particularly short. I would wear a dress that length without a second thought and I'm older than you.

Tell him if he thinks its too short, he doesnt have to wear it.

It looks nice but if you dropped anything I don’t think you would be able to bend over without flashing.. for that reason I probably wouldn’t wear it

OP if you like it then wear it, it’s not about how old you are it’s how confident you feel wearing it.

Pooshweens it is too short imho.

You look great, and have a lovely figure. The dress looks a bit dated though, IMHO, as the shape reminds me of the skater skirts of a few years ago. It's just not very stylish, to my mind. I'm hardly the oracle though, so wear it if you feel good in it.

It's not too short and there's no age limit . I'm 50 wear short dresses and shorts and those shorts suits all the time.
