It's most likely not her friends, it's more likely to be a made up source or false statement from a non-friendly royal worker.

QueenOfTheAndals · 28/11/2019 20:31

I doubt it. It's more likely that the article was a load of made up shite to just get people clicking.

I do wonder what the reaction would've been like if Meghan had pulled out of an event citing Archie as the reason...

I loved Meghans wedding dress, and thought it looked perfect- elegant, demure but stylish and classic, and set off perfectly with the tiara. Didnt like the page boys outfits was my only gripe - thought they looked sinister! Also loved the Stella Mc evening dress and that amazing aquamarine ring.

“I do wonder what the reaction would've been like if Meghan had pulled out of an event citing Archie as the reason...”
Particularly with no details at all! And imagine if they hadn’t acknowledged Het Maj’s wedding anniversary!

SunsetBoulevard3 · 28/11/2019 21:03

That’s the first time that’s ever happened though Bertrand in years and years of faithful service. Give her a bloody break.Meghan’s only been doing it five minutes by comparison and she’s already moaning.

BertrandRussell · 28/11/2019 21:07

Not criticising Kate at all. I’m sure she did the right thing. Just pointing out that it would have been very different if Meghan had done the same.

thisenglishlife · 28/11/2019 21:10

Kate received negative press and unpleasantness but Meghan's negative press has been full bullying with dog whistle racism, full of half truths and twisted information (and full on lies too at times) and motivated by those who think that a foreign, half black, divorced actress should know her place. How dare she join our royal family? We can't have her outshine our royals or spend our money or complain about anything.

thisenglishlife · 28/11/2019 21:19

Kate (who I like) has pulled out of a high profile event previously (breaking a 115 year tradition of female royals at that event), citing the children and was instead spotted shopping without them (although, she could have had the children later).

Most of the pap photos of Kate are sans children, shopping. The newspapers could twist that if they wanted. When she lived in Wales, sources pushed the idea she was a housewife doing everything herself and was there but she actually had four full time domestic staff and was regularly photographed shopping in London. That could have been twisted too - to suit whatever agenda the newspaper wanted.

Kate has recently spent 2 days on work experience at Kingston maternity unit - she visited the antenatal clinic, labour and post natal wards and even went out on a community midwife home visit.

I too have wondered that Queen... it would have been awful, I suspect. She’d have been called black and blue.

Scrap that, it was this one

Christ Almighty! What does Max look like?! Even she can't pull off a lampshade. Hideous dress. Hideous picture. I'm going to pretend I never saw it and think of her like this... (even if her MAGNIFICENT tiara does look pissed).

Kate has recently spent 2 days on work experience at Kingston maternity unit

seems odd ,she won't be needing to make career choices .And surely her presence will have added pressure to busy people trying to do their jobs ?

was she bored ?

banivani · 29/11/2019 08:25

I went back 12 threads and then I stopped, @QueenOfTheAndals hadn't started posting the link to the previous thread in the OP so digging of a different kind required then. ;)

FiveTwoFaster · 29/11/2019 08:52

I imagine Kate’s presence always Adds pressure to busy people trying to do their jobs. though probs not as much as Prince Andrew

She should just bugger off and get back to her gym going, blow dries and tiara polishing.

Anyway - she is interested in Early Years isn’t she - doesn’t get much earlier than this.

BertrandRussell · 29/11/2019 08:54

Calling it “work experience” is a little odd..... I wonder what benefit it was to anyone.

QueenOfTheAndals · 29/11/2019 08:58

Maybe she wants to be the first royal midwife @BertrandRussell! Stranger things have happened...

Didn't Diana visit hospitals incognito?

OP posts:
BertrandRussell · 29/11/2019 09:02

“ Didn't Diana visit hospitals incognito?”

Yeah- but spreading largesse, not checking how dilated people were!

QueenOfTheAndals · 29/11/2019 09:23

Weren't there photos of Diana in the 90s sitting in on surgeries?

OP posts:
BertrandRussell · 29/11/2019 09:36

She had a fling with a surgeon once, didn’t she? And there were pictures-all a bit grim really.

BertrandRussell · 29/11/2019 09:37

I don’t think it was a official thing, I mean.
