I adored Meghan's dress, I thought she looked stunning!

SunsetBoulevard3 · 28/11/2019 17:37

I was really disappointed by the wedding dress. It didn't fit particularly well and just seemed very unremarkable to me. I much preferred the evening Stella McCartney dress.
I wonder too why they keep posting on Instagram whilst complaining about how tough everything is and how much they need privacy. It's hypocritical.
There's some article today saying she found her pregnancy incredibly lonely away from family and friends and wants to give birth next time in LA. She's just not doing herself any favours. Didn't she think at all about what life would be like married to Harry? It really doesn't seem like she did. What on earth was she expecting?

SunsetBoulevard3 · 28/11/2019 17:38

Btw I have seen the dress on display. It is so tiny. The sleeves are incredibly tiny. She must have been about a size 6.

BertrandRussell · 28/11/2019 17:44

They’ve made 3 posts, one wishing her Maj a happy anniversary anniversary, one marking their own anniversary and one wishing a happy thanksgiving. Hardly constitutes excessive SM use!

hopeishere · 28/11/2019 18:05

And they're dammed if they do damned if they don't. If the Cambridges had put the messages up and they hadn't then they would have been "snubbing the Queen". Also it's not like they're typing them out themselves!!

I loved her dress. The best bride though was Eugenie because she looked so absolutely happy.

BeatriceTheBeast · 28/11/2019 18:07

This definitely sounds like they're posting the bare minimum. Like when you don't like a relative all that much and you message them the bare minimum. Not saying they don't like their relatives, I hasten to add, but they probably don't like publicity at the moment, so are doing bare minimum posts.

WineOrGinOrBoth · 28/11/2019 18:07

I definitely remember threads about H&Ms wedding but can’t remember if they were S&B threads or what my username was then!

BeatriceTheBeast · 28/11/2019 18:08

I also adored MM's dress. It is one of my favourite wedding dresses of all time. It was perfect imo.

Encyclo · 28/11/2019 18:09

I loved it, the tiara and veil were exquisite. I loved the little squad behind her going up the aisle

BertrandRussell · 28/11/2019 18:16

I think Meghan’s dress was perfect - she was approaching 40, it was properly grown up. And I have to confess that my hard Republican heart melted a little when Charles met her. Still wish it had been Doria, though.

frugalkitty · 28/11/2019 18:17

hopeishere I agree, Eugenie was the most radiant bride, she just shone on her wedding day.

There were definitely threads running on the wedding day, lots of us posting minute by minute!

frugalkitty · 28/11/2019 18:22

Bertrand yes it was a lovely moment when Charles took her the last part of the aisle.

Funnily enough we were talking about my wedding yesterday, my Dad has a bad back in the run up and my mum said "I remember thinking about who I'd have asked to walk you down the aisle if your Dad couldn't have done it, maybe one of your uncles" not in a million years but I said, rather indignantly, "I think I could have managed to walk myself up the aisle!"

I wonder what the conversation was around Meghan, if her Dad had come to the wedding would he have done it? Seems a bit daft to me as she'd been married before, so maybe she always planned to walk herself up the aisle.

desertgirl · 28/11/2019 18:23

Max looking like she is wearing a lampshade. She is still fabulous though....

Charles was so gallant that day, when he offered her his arm iI did choke back a tear.

Encyclo · 28/11/2019 18:25

Harry's little "Thanks Pop" definitely gave me the feels

frugalkitty · 28/11/2019 18:28

This is the thread I was on for the wedding, also in S&B

Do you really think Meghan is spilling her birth plans to the tabloids?

Queen and Curly were on that thread too (I'm on it with a different username) so I think Queen launched these threads after we ran out of breath on the wedding ones!

DevonUkelele · 28/11/2019 18:44

Loved Meghan's wedding dress, though agree it was maybe a touch too white. But 🤷‍♀️

The neckline, veil, tiara, church (especially the flowers outside) = all gorgeous.

Loved the moment with Charles.

Adored her a Stella McCartney evening version 😍😍.

I'm also pretty sure these threads started about then, and I was here (under a different name) lapping it all up.

Funny that even you don't remember when you kicked it all off @Queen!

She didn't say any of this!!

complaining about... how much they need privacy.
They've only said they want to bring up the baby AH as a private citizen, which they are - seeing as they didn't take up a title for him (eg. he could have been Earl of Dumbarton).

BertrandRussell · 28/11/2019 19:26

I have been wondering how the relentless anti Meghan rhetoric will continue while she is not actually visible. Beginning to see how. I liked the recent report of the RF hiring a consultant to look at their astronomical travel costs being headlined “Queen hires consultant to rein in Meghan and Harry” Grin

SunshineCake · 28/11/2019 19:29

👑 I'm only on page four. Do we know if the Cambridge children are okay ? I think there might be a baby on the way in the RF.

QueenOfTheAndals · 28/11/2019 19:35

@DevonUkelele No I do remember! It was after Harry's cousin Celia got married. It was the wedding where Meghan wore than oversized blue and white ODLR.

OP posts:
DevonUkelele · 28/11/2019 19:52

Oh that cousin! I'd forgotten about her.

I do remember the frock though - not one of M's best. And the Marks and Sparks fascinator.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 28/11/2019 20:16

@QueenOfTheAndals
No I would imagine it’s her ‘friends’ talking again
