For a bit of nostalgia! I’ll kick things off..

  • Hard Candy makeup and nail polish. I had a quad of eyeshadows in purples and golds, thought it was the shit!
  • hair mascaras. Wtf were they about. Made your hair look like a gunky stringy mess
  • body shop dewberry body spray, which was the thing at our school, along with
  • wearing boy’s Lynx deodorant (I still recall which boys I fancied wore Tempest!)
  • heather shimmer lipstick, obviously
  • Rouge Noir nail polish, which everyone thought was the shit cos of Pulp Fiction, but it turned out to not even be the one that Uma Thurman wore)

Hit me with your memories!

Hair mousse and a diffuser attachment on my hairdryer. My poor hair! I offset the damage by using Timotei shampoo - ‘so gentle you can wash your hair as often as you like’ Grin

Who remembers the carrot moisturiser from The Body Shop? It was literally bright orange. Smelled great though!

At Ives apricot facial scrub . I shudder at the memory of how raw it made my skin feel but I kept on using it believing there was some sort of wisdom to hyper aggressive exfoliating .

Outdoor Girl make up

Was thinking of this only this morning! Blush a bye blusher in Rambling Rose and a honey tint that was gorgeous on the face.

Yardley Soul Setter eye shadow kit - six great wearable shades.
Ann French Milk (contained Formaldehyde!!!)
I remember Lemon Delph cleanser and toner!
Innoxa 41 -very STRONG for acne. I did not have acne. I had the occasional spot! What was I thinking of??!

Ooh I remember the Shanklin egg and lemon shampoo!! Was scared it would scramble!!
Linc o beer shampoo
Miners mascaras and lipstick. They brought out some honey lipsticks and glosses. Yum
Boots no 17 - Mascara and lipstick. The creamy bronzer was the last thing I bought and it is great. Orange blossom skin care.
Body shop - I believe the carrot moisturiser is back (if it ever went away!). Dewberry - Gawd help us - tell me I didn't (I did!!).

In fact - most of the stuff on Citygirl's list. She could be my (slightly younger) sister!!!!
Anyone remember the Faberge perfumes? Kiku, Aphrodisia 33, Babe, Xanadu etc
Lentheric perfumes - Tramp, Rebel, Panache and others.
My mum and Aunt loved Tweed. It stank of old Tom cat.
Ponds Cold Crem and the Boots one too. Every winter I used that.
Cream silk - yep. The lemon one then I used the cactus one.
Revlon Flex - loved the smell!!
The Smiths Cremolia - remember that.

I remembered that Outdoor Girl brought out (one of the first make up range for black skins in UK. Although I am a warm ivory I loved the ripe ackee lipstick - was a very deep plummy brown (would look total shit on me now (and I expect it did then)).
Mary Quant. Oh God How much did I love that make up! The plums, the reds! I had the cherry chic on lips and nails - erm a plummy black. Again it must have looked shit. Mum said I looked like a heart attack victim but I was going through a punky phrase. Also a lovely lipstick called satin slicker (a goldy pink). I also loved the blushers. I would save up hard for the make up.

Oh and those hint of a tint - Inecto and the other ones (forgotten the name). I have been colouring my hair since I was 11.
