@MikeUniformMike & @CaptainWentworth I remember the Les Createurs de Beaute catalogue. I had an Agnes B eyeshadow palette from there which I used on my wedding day in 2000 as I did my own make up. (See photo)
As a small child I remember Woodleigh Green Shampoo, Linco Beer Shampoo & Fairy, Lux, Camay & Zest soaps..........probably the best everyday soaps in the world.
Ah The Body Shop (through my job at time net Anita several times, she was lovely & taken too soon) my favourites were Passion Fruit Cleansing Gel, White Grape Skin Tonic, Camomile Eye Make Up Remover, Satsuma Bubbles, those Aduki Bean Cleansing Grains & Papier Poudre. SuperDrug do a version of the Papier Poudre which I now use www.superdrug.com/Superdrug-Deep-Action/Superdrug-Deep-Action-Mattifying-Shine-Control-Papers/p/718566
Flex Shampoo & Conditioner we called Custard Shampoo & it smelt divine. I use Mane & Tail & it reminds me of Flex with the consistency, look & smell of it.
Cosmetics-To-Go were miles better & more exciting than Lush. My repeat orders were Champagne Bath Bombs, Tangle Hair Conditioner, Ginger Perfume, Turkish Bath, Smaragadine Bubble Bath, the Papaya facial exfoliating wash that had to be kept in the fridge & the Eygptian range (Khufu?) exfoliating soap (might have been called Sandbar). How I loved getting those parcels.
Virgiin Vie, I still miss their One Step Face Base (though I use Max Factor Facefinity Compact which is more or less the same www.superdrug.com/Max-Factor/Max-Factor-Facefinity-Compact-Foundation-Natural/p/751488 )
My parents used Bergasol on their 1970s holidays & I can still smell it now. Gorgeous!
And how did we manage without hair straighteners? .............we used the actual iron with a tea towel on the ironing board!!!
