God I don't have time to catch up properly. I agree Red, the first sparkly top is very shoddily tucked in! But I suppose it's A Look.
Quirky, pretty sure we've talked about Charlotte Chesnais' jewllery before, because I remember loving those earrings and thinking "perfect present for my middle daughter" until seeing the price haha.
Bo, enjoyed the Antwerp pictures. Is it even worth going to things like that if you're over a size ten? It'd be fun to try sometime!
I've had some luck charity shopping recently. Came home with grey wool Cos trousers for 4 euro and even spent aaaagggeees taking them in at the waist because for 4 euro I'd give it a shot. Ended up a little lopsided but not much. Also still a little big, but when I defy the care label and wash them in water that might rectify itself. Also found a lovely tweed coat! Not perfect, not Donegal tweed, but still very nice green based colour, and just under 30 euro so very pleased. Makes a nice change from my standard black coat.
It's pissing rain now so I am regretting wearing any sort of wool coat today though!
I am now down to a size 40 in Cos and Arket (ie it should be a 42 by the size charts). Was visiting friends in Stockholm this weekend so popped into some shops - bought a red merino jumper in Uniqlo, very happy with the colour, and also the wide Uniqlo U jeans in dark denim (very pleased I didn't order them online, because i had gone down to a 30 waist which I would not have thought). Not sure if I want to keep them yet, they are quite wide and a bit "young". My middle girl was with me and said they were great but she thinks I should go for the young things. I feel a bit weird in them though!
Tried on trousers in Arket too (am desperate for trousers) and was surprised by loving these on me www.arket.com/en_sek/women/trousers/product.cropped-wool-trousers-black.0810138001.html because I didn't at all think they looked good on the model! Didn't love them enough for 890 kr though, I'll think about it a bit more. I agree it's important to stay a bit ruthless and not buy the good enoughs too often.
