Hmm
Fairylea · 29/10/2019 08:01

What even is an indoor scarf? Are they just a scarf worn indoors or is this a “thing”? HmmGrin

isthismylifenow · 29/10/2019 08:01

Ok.

not sure what an indoor scarf is though

LazyDaisey · 29/10/2019 08:03

Are you matching your indoor scarf with your indoor shoes (slippers) and indoor coat (robe) when you’re in the office? Otherwise, is one just looking at oneself in one’s mirror declaring her indoor scarf as too frumpy for her eyes?

Itallt0omuch · 29/10/2019 08:05

Don't wear them then?

Each to their own. Sometimes I wear a scarf indoors but the scarf is a gift from my granny and Its comforting to wear.

Sneezewitch · 29/10/2019 08:06

Agreed. They’re the leggings of old lady dressing.

Whatsforu · 29/10/2019 08:08

I love a scarf indoor, outdoor or otherwise. We are just hitting the weather for them too, great!!

Babymamaroon · 29/10/2019 08:08

I love a scarf! But then I do feel like an old crow so may as well dress like oneGrin

Moneyplants · 29/10/2019 08:09

I know what she means, those silk scarfs you wear as part of your outfit to hide your crepey neck. Nothing as frumpy as a headscarf worn like a hat a la The Queen though.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/10/2019 08:11

Why do you care? Wear a scarf if you want to, don't if you don't.

Orangesox · 29/10/2019 08:11

Love an indoor scarf when I need to wear something a tad more formal that I can’t wear a thermal top under. Have a variety of patterns and colours.

If my neck gets cold I end up with a stiff neck and shoulders which I’m keen to avoid. I’d rather be frumpy than in pain...

MargotLovedTom1 · 29/10/2019 08:17

So they are even frumpier than...gasp!...mum boots, leggings, tunics and White Stuff? Wink

missmouse101 · 29/10/2019 08:22

I love a beautiful dangling scarf as part of an outfit! Is an indoor scarf something different?

AliciaQuays · 29/10/2019 08:23

I dislike them (obv wear if you’re still channelling 2010) because they’re mumsy. Dated. The kind of woman who’d be “with it”. Etc.
Do what you like. I just think OUT.

Style and beauty is weird. I dont think I've ever seen an actual style tip on here that makes any sense.

I have a beautiful cashmere huge scarf that I wear inside all the time. It's warm, comforting and looks lovely. When my kids are ill they all want to have it to snuggle with.

flowery · 29/10/2019 08:25

I don’t know what one is. Confused

CodenameVillanelle · 29/10/2019 08:26

Yeah they are dated and whatever but honestly, I'm 39, busy, too broke to buy fancy new clothes, imma wear my leggings and scarves and dresses until they wear out k? Life's too short to care that much about clothes.

Uponreflection · 29/10/2019 08:27

They’re just out of fashion at the moment aren’t they. I’ve got a drawer full but haven’t worn them for several years.

MarianaMoatedGrange · 29/10/2019 08:27

Ooh! great idea. I have some tops which are lowish necked or V, bit chilly in my draughty old house. Now I can wear them with Indoor Scarves along with my Frumpy Cardi wardrobe for indoors Expecting Visitors wear Smile

Trewser · 29/10/2019 08:27

OP you are going to struggle when you actually get "mumsy" (a lovely thing to be) and "dated". It comes to us all!

isthismylifenow · 29/10/2019 08:28

Can you explain what an indoor scarf is?

I wear one (well just what i though is a standard scarf) when going outdoors in the winter. Maybe this is a UK thing and not being in the UK, i just don't get it Confused

OverByYer · 29/10/2019 08:28

I work in a draughty old building. An indoor scarf is a must, along with fingerless gloves and a hot water bottle
