What happens if you go outdoors wearing an indoor scarf?

Trewser · 29/10/2019 08:31

You create a glitch in the matrix isthismylifenow

Honey?
This thread gets rolled out every once in a while and it never makes sense. If you are cold or want to wear a scarf, wear one. If you don't, don't. There's nothing else to say on the subject.

peaceanddove · 29/10/2019 08:31

I like to wear a small silk necker chief with a plain crew neck and I don't think it looks frumpy. But I am mildly worried it might look jaunty Hmm

NumberblockNo1 · 29/10/2019 08:32

An indoor scarf I imaginenis just a thin floaty scarf for decorarion as opposed to a "hat and gloves " type wooly scarf.

Most women for a while seemed to wear them. I never got the hang of the feeling round my neck. But it really is a normal thing, not sure how people havent seen women with scarfs as part of their outfit .

Trewser · 29/10/2019 08:33

I actually get a weird kind of pleasure from wearing things that the Sand B thread starters deem as frumpy. I've loved wearing my breton tops and skinny jeans this week, together with my supergas (flatforms, but still). I've now gone to get my scarf Smile

milliefiori · 29/10/2019 08:34

I know what you mean OP. I have a few silk scarves, all given as presents, and whenever I wear them I feel like I should also have a blanket over my knees Grin

broomzoom · 29/10/2019 08:37

I don't own any small scarfs but if I'm cold I will often wrap my "outdoor scarf" around me, Acne ones are my fave.

I think the worst way to wear a scarf is a pashmina at a wedding

Trewser · 29/10/2019 08:38

Having a blanket over your knees is a very underrated pleasure.

diddl · 29/10/2019 08:40

I love it that people are feigning ignorance.

Could the name be any more self explanatory?!

I have no opinion on them either way.

MarianaMoatedGrange · 29/10/2019 08:41

Hold on.....where are we on the Indoor Pashmina worn long on one side, short on the other, as recently seen by me in a public facing office?

BeaBravo · 29/10/2019 08:42

I'm about to buy my first pair of Supergas so that will be the death of them!

KitKatKit · 29/10/2019 08:42

You're missing out on being able to go bra - less without offending anyone OP!

milliefiori · 29/10/2019 08:43

Having a blanket over your knees is a very underrated pleasure.
It certainly is @Trewser. Can I interest you in a small sherry? Grin

Not in my house. A necessary pleasure!

coconuttelegraph · 29/10/2019 08:44

Not feigning ignorance but what defines an indoor scarf? Is it something you specifically keep to only wear inside? If I'm wearing a scarf I don't change it depending where I am, obviously I'd take off an obvious winter heavy scarf indoors but not vice versa

Tableclothing · 29/10/2019 08:44

You are completely right, OP, and will remain so until they come back into fashion.

CalamityJune · 29/10/2019 08:45

I miss indoor scarves. I think they look nice with a high bun. I agree they're in the frumpy camp at the moment tho.

Trewser · 29/10/2019 08:45

I don't really drink, but a mug of tea would be lovely!

To be fair, my house is large and draughty and bloody freezing.

MarianaMoatedGrange · 29/10/2019 08:45

You can interest me in a sherry, milliefiori! sweet, please!

PsychoSmirk · 29/10/2019 08:48

I loathe the word "mumsy".

Trewser · 29/10/2019 08:49

I am a mum and am happy to look like one. Is there an equivalent pejorative term about dads?

Bellringer · 29/10/2019 08:50

Still got crocs!

FilledSoda · 29/10/2019 08:50

You mean a silk or chiffon scarf .
I have a vast collection . Some are frumpy but then I'm old and don't give a shit anymore .
I take it no ones likes the McQueen skull silk scarves anymore then ?
I have two , I thought they were going to be a classic Hmm

Settlersofcatan · 29/10/2019 08:50

I look very frumpy most of the time these days as I kind of hate everything that is in fashion right now. Boiler suits, jumpsuits, midi length, it all looks hideous to me!
