Leti’s muscles are amazing (although not attractive, has to be said). It’s her make-up that’s shocking Shock She looks like Glenn Close a the end of Dangerous Liaisons!!

Rhubarbisevil · 19/10/2019 03:08

I think Leti must do a lot of yoga and eat a mainly plant based diet.

Kate’s interview with CNN

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 19/10/2019 03:52

Princess Leonor looks so much like Queen Sofia!
The Princess of Asturias awards is such a big deal
Felipe looks so proud, and Leonor was incredibly confident and she’s only 13 years old.
They are taking that future Queen training very seriously!

I’m wondering whether the slim brunettes are Letizia’s mum and sister
Anyone Spanish on the thread able to say if there are Spanish Middletons?

JaimeBronde · 19/10/2019 04:08

That's brilliant for Eugenie, maybe not so good for her Dad......

latedecember1963 · 19/10/2019 06:45

I'm not Spanish but in the comments underneath the pictures it mentioned Leti's mum, sister and Grandma. It was nice to see the photo of Leti and her MiL with their arms round each other. They looked genuinely relaxed so perhaps there has been a thawing in their relationship since that footage of them seeming at odds after a church service. Maybe they usually get on well but something had happened earlier that day and the press just happened to be around while they were still feeling miffed with each other.

thatone · 19/10/2019 06:47

Love the thread title Queen.
I too have really enjoyed seeing Kate's wardrobe on this trip. Didn't like the green/white trouser suit but everything else has looked simple, elegant and comfortable.
Agree that MM's interview might not play well. From my POV a tour is supposed to be about the place and the people you are visiting and it's not a great idea to make it about yourself, even if the interviewer wants you to,

hopeishere · 19/10/2019 07:21

Leti must work out a LOT!! She has quite a "hard" face.

mathanxiety · 19/10/2019 07:35

BubblesBuddy
Why do our royals have to show deference? Surely they could wear what they like and be true to their origins instead of pretending to adopt a culture?

The RF tend to go on state visits to Commonwealth countries and countries that used to be part of the British Empire.

The reason to wear local style clothing is to show respect for the cultures that used to be considered second class.

It's quite a new thing for the RF to visit European countries, as W&K and family did a couple of years ago.

Horsemad · 19/10/2019 12:50

I always think that about Leti @hopeishere.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 19/10/2019 13:06

I think Leti often looks overpowered by her clothes. She is tiny, and would probably look better in very simple shapes, Chanel suits or shift dresses.

Her style is a bit "Desperate Housewives" for me.

Some interesting fashion here at this society wedding.
Bea's hat and dress look lovely. And Marie-Chantal is sporting an Anne Boleyn look with lightening heels!

Great story behind the wedding. Interesting wedding dress but really suits her and I like something a bit different. Bea looks nice but nothing special (coat worn on the shoulders must be a thing in society circles) not keen on the hat. Love love Sabine Getty's shoes

ElspethFlashman · 19/10/2019 13:50

That dress is The Vampires Wife. She has it in 3 other colours. I always think TVW looks like matronly upholstery but it's very popular so clearly women enjoy the structured shape and the whole day-to-night thing.

The coat is an old TopShop one and the shoes are frequently worn Kurt Geigers, they're real work horses, those shoes. Eugenie either has the exact same pair or borrows Bea's as she was wearing them last week. Probably she has her own pair.

Pairing a black shoe with a pastel outfit gives me a literal pain though. Particularly as she has almost identical Kurt Geigers in a lovely nude. Why not wear them??? Aaaahhh!

FATEdestiny · 19/10/2019 14:34

Blimey, look at her engagement ring!

What a striking wedding dress. It's nice to see something a bit different.
I like Marie Chantel's dark grey coat. It's a good colour for an Autumn wedding.

margotsdevil · 19/10/2019 14:37

Love the wedding dress - and I normally I'm more of a Kate/Eugenie fab than something quite "different" like that.

Is it just me who thinks there's something a bit off about Beatrice's fiancé in those photos though? He just looks... disengaged?

ElspethFlashman · 19/10/2019 14:42

God, that ring would slow you down a bit!

It may well be an heirloom - it looks old and he's the heir to the whole Bonaparte family. Theyre clearly all loaded.

ElspethFlashman · 19/10/2019 14:43

I liked the wedding dress too. At least it has personality. Her bridal earrings were insane too. God knows how old they were.

SenecaFalls · 19/10/2019 15:01

Someone had better alert the royals-must-always-wear-tights police. I don't think Bea is wearing them. Good for her.

SenecaFalls · 19/10/2019 15:02

I like the wedding dress too--from the back. Not too fond of that cape over strapless look.

ElspethFlashman · 19/10/2019 15:38

It's probably chilly enough in Paris though, so I can understand it if she wanted strapless the rest of the day.

AdaColeman · 19/10/2019 15:43

Bea's outfit looked quite plain and ordinary in comparison to the other guests' glamorous turn out. I didn't like the coat draped over the shoulders, and the hat didn't seem to go with anything. Edo looked soooo bored!

The wedding dress fabric was spectacular, but it didn't seem to work well for the bodice, (parts were folded in on themselves). I wasn't keen on the little cape, perhaps she removed that later, which might have been better.
The groom is certainly cute! Wink
