You'll have to post some outfit shots for us @SenecaFalls! I have a wedding to go to in a couple of weeks too so need to start thinking about what to wear. It won't be sari again as there'll be a ceilidh and I can't ceilidh in a sari, that's for sure!

@Disfordarkchocolate you are a brave lady going away to a wedding with your issues. Can someone go to the hairdressers with you?

Disfordarkchocolate · 23/10/2019 20:18

My lovely husband is dropping me off and got me a 9 am appointment @justasking111. I picked a salon that only has 2 chairs so it's nice and quiet. One step at a time.

AppleKatie · 23/10/2019 20:27

@QueenOfTheAndals I’m impressed and slightly creeped out that you are attracting actual physical mail to your home address!

I’m rubbish at being polished too. I can’t stand the thought of someone else going near my eyebrows for a start so that’s probably me out the RL duchess club. I’ll stick to fantasy on here 🤣

Bling clothing personality is something you can have done alongside your colours. So as colours are divided into the four seasons (winter is cool, clear....summer is cool, muted.....spring is warm, clear.....autumn is warm, muted.....each season is then divided into four sub categories depending on which of the seasons colours are your wow colours), so you have a clothing personality which determines your overall style, including things like whether you suit small or large patterns/necklines/jacket lengths/amount of accessories you 'need' including how large these are and what they are made of.

I'm an anemone summer, and my clothing personality is natural gamine. So for me, comfort is key, I need an easy look but the gamine in me means it has to be neat and tidy! I suit 3/4 sleeves, slash/bateau necklines, scarves, jeans (but not scruffy ones) boots, linen, simple. I do not suit lots of make up, I need simple jewellery and if you put me in one of Kate's round neck numbers I'd be pulling at it as it's far too uptight and classic for me! Lots of info on line if you're interested. Categories are romantic, classic, dramatic, ingenue, gamine, natural. Usually you'd be a mix of two, although some people say they have a third, and some people are 100% one (my DH is a full natural). Of course, there are plenty of people who think the whole thing is a load of nonsense, but I found it made lots of sense to me and makes shopping much easier! It also helps to explain why sometimes I put something on and know it's just not me, and that I won't be comfortable in it.

Seneca we definitely need pics, both your outfits sound lovely!

WineOrGinOrBoth · 23/10/2019 20:40

@Disfordarkchocolate that’s so brave of you - hope it goes well.

SenecaFalls · 23/10/2019 20:43

The physical mail thing is a bit creepy. I see ads for various things that we discuss pop up on my phone, but I have Android and know that Google follows me around. Physical mail is a step too far.

SenecaFalls · 23/10/2019 20:46

Disfordarkchocolate That sounds like a good plan. Hope it goes well.

banivani · 23/10/2019 20:53

God 339 euro for a bash chez the emperor of Japan isn’t too bad all the same. Well done Leti. FWIW I quite like that dress. It’s strong, like Japanese kimonos can be.

Disfordarkchocolate · 23/10/2019 20:54

Thank you @ Seneca Falls and @SenecaFalls. My son is worth any amount of effort, and he's marrying a lovely woman so what more could I ask

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 23/10/2019 21:17

Letizia in Seoul
I really like the graphic embroidery on the nude, sheer mesh.

( I just find her eye makeup a tad disconcerting)

StCharlotte · 23/10/2019 21:42

First time in years HM's shoes have gone with her outfit.

justasking111 · 23/10/2019 21:48

@Disfordarkchocolate your gp may be helpful. Mine gives me diazapam for long flights which stop me panicking.

frugalkitty · 23/10/2019 21:48

StCharlotte off to the tower with you, and no looking at the Crown Jewels as you go!

StCharlotte · 23/10/2019 21:49

Those of you casting aspersions on "middle-aged" dressing, have you actually thought about what middle-age is?

I know you mean in terms of years but to me it's a look and a state of mind. I'm 56 so of course I'm middle aged according to my birth certificate but not in my head or my wardrobe.

And I don't think Kate looks middle aged. She always looks very classy.

StCharlotte · 23/10/2019 21:52

frugalkitty

I was there last month actually but I escaped and I went round the travelator thingy THREE times so ner! Grin

Disfordarkchocolate · 23/10/2019 21:55

I'm very medicated @justasking111 Smile

Alwayscheerful · 23/10/2019 21:56

Is Letzia wearing Temperley?

frugalkitty · 23/10/2019 21:57

StCharlotte you rebel!

LaBrujaPiruja · 23/10/2019 22:07

Yes, Temperley.
And nice shoes.

Rhubarbisevil · 23/10/2019 22:14

Where is Camilla? I thought she was supposed to be there?

latedecember1963 · 23/10/2019 22:23

Bling, sorry for the delay in answering your question as I've been out visiting a friend. Frugal Kitty has explained it beautifully. I went with House of Colour.
The thing that I found really useful was learning which necklines suit me. I'm busty and used to wear high necklines because I was worried about showing too much. All they did was emphasise my boobs whereas a lower cut item is more forgiving. I also tend to look for 3/4 length sleeves rather than short sleeves that end at my bust line.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 23/10/2019 22:25

Ooh I like this dress. I think It would suit Meghan www.instagram.com/p/B3-FPFZHFWU/?igshid=1t647o6qhzgkr
