It's supposed to be amazing....indeed it was the first priduct to be scented with youth dew :)

MotherOfDragonite · 16/11/2019 13:22

I'm within reach of a Space NK, Judy -- it's ever so dangerous! (But nice). That was how I got into Diptyque.

SOTD is Eau My Soul. I went off it for a while as it smelled so strong and a bit... hippyish. But I'd forgotten how lovely and comforting it is when it's actually on.

The kids have been ill again, I've even had to take one of them to A&E, I'm exhausted and can't believe it's been two whole months of illness and accident of one sort or another.

Hoooo · 16/11/2019 13:48

Oh mother! :(
Sorry to hear that.
Ds2 had been ill on and off for 3 weeks. It's draining isn't it?

MotherOfDragonite · 16/11/2019 14:42

I'm so tired, Hoooo. We have had breaks in between, and I'm so lucky and glad that the children are generally in good health, but it's just been so draining. I can't imagine how hard it is for parents of children with longterm health issues.

I did use some of my Christmas money in advance to sign up for a January joy box though! I feel it will cheer me up immensely!

Hoooo · 16/11/2019 14:47

It is incredibly draining, yes.
Ds2 just seems very run down and he's supposed to have his flu nasal vaccine next week...

MrsMoggs · 16/11/2019 15:48

Coeur de Jardin, Poirier d'un Soir and Feuilles de Tabac in TK today.

FloraMacDonald · 16/11/2019 19:48

I got coeur de jardin & tubereuse the other day. I might go back in next week - I wouldn't mind a bottle of tea tonique for £35!

Hoooo · 16/11/2019 20:20

I've gpt a 9ml rollerball in pouch of MH tea tonique if you'd like it flora?
Just not for me.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 16/11/2019 22:25

SOTD Jazz Club.

mother sorry to hear of poorly people. I have never been quite right since that cold at the beginning of September. So many bugs going around!

Space NK is great, hooo. I order a lot online, and always make a point of going if I am in another city. They do quite a few niche fragrance brands - Byredo, Diptyque, Annick Goutal and so on. This one will be five minutes walk from my work...

Hello perfumistas! Long time mumsnetter but never been on here before, am wondering if anyone can help!
I didn't wear perfume for years as it made me really queasy when pregnant and bf. Only back into it in the last couple of years, and got a bottle of English Laundry Notting Hill Femme, following a birchbox trial. Now it's finished and when I've gone to buy another bottle it seems to have disappeared into thin air! I can find it on somewhere called perfume galaxy- is this ok or dodgy?! Is buying perfume on ebay recommended or best avoided?!
I'm so disappointed to have found something then lost it again after all these years! If anyone knows of a UK stockist i would be very very grateful!

PearsMorgan · 17/11/2019 08:11

Finally got round to re-registering to say thanks to whoever sent me in the direction of TK Maxx - big bottles of rose silence, which was a blind buy but just what I was after, and tea tonique. They had quite a few more (bottles and scents).

To PP, I’ve never used perfume galaxy but had good experiences on eBay as both buyer and seller.

Bluesheep8 · 17/11/2019 08:16

hooo thank you, you've convinced me to treat myself. I love youth dew, it's such a nostalgic scent for me. I love many of the old classics. Sadly my Dad is in residential care and when I wear youth dew when I visit, so many people comment that it smells familiar but they're not quite sure what it is. I find it always reminds people of a particular person and there's a lovely nostalgia to it.
I love Avon Timeless for the same reason and wish they did an EDP in it....

Hoooo · 17/11/2019 08:18

blue
My mum wears youth dew :)
It's lovely.
I love avon timeless too and am nrver without a bottle :)

Hoooo · 17/11/2019 08:20

Oooh sounds dangerous judy :)
Tam dao sounds interesting.

Bluesheep8 · 17/11/2019 08:57

hooo it seems we have similar taste, I love warm spicy scents. Patchouli is my very favourite scent and I'm perpetually on the hunt for a perfect patchouli

Hoooo · 17/11/2019 09:09

You'd love some of the Andy tauers blue :)

teta · 17/11/2019 09:29

@Missanneshirley Perfume Galaxy ( I think they used to be Perfume Emporium) has pretty terrible reviews, though they do sell on Amazon, where their rating is slightly better but not brilliant. EBay selling is generally fine. I've had very few issues as long as you check the feedback first.

Hoooo · 17/11/2019 10:07

Sotd extra sexiest scent on the planet ever imho

teta · 17/11/2019 12:55

I went splat on my face last night so am aching all over and had to drive around early this morning to find our repeatedly escaping spaniel. So have retreated back to bed with something warm - patchouli clouds. Am exhausted. Too many late nights driving around rural flooded roads as a mum taxi.

FloraMacDonald · 17/11/2019 13:53

Thanks @hoooo, but only if I can send you something in return!
SOTD is jazz club - love it!

FloraMacDonald · 17/11/2019 13:55

Hope you're feeling better @teta.
