Has anyone tried the experimental perfume club sets where you can create your own blend from 6 perfumes? Is it a good idea or just a gimmick?

flora i have a laboratory perfume discovery set with 5 x 1.5ls and little tester strips :)
I rather like the tonka but haven't tried layering. Tbh I think I'm too lazy :) I like my perfume blended for me :)

Imagine if you created your perfect blend, but could never get it quite the same again!

Go and do a 4160 Tuesday's workshop if you can, Flora - so much more scope to play with materials. Completely brilliant learning opportunity and you walk away with something that's all yours. (And you measure everything out and write it down).

I am excited for the advent calendar. We always have a chocolate one in the kitchen, then forget about it after a week and DP ends up horsing all the sweeties at the end. This reminds me that I should get one before the nice ones sell out.

Hello Kalifornia, I hope you don't mind me answering. I've been on the 4160Tuesdays workshop and it blew my mind. Sarah knows more than I could ever learn and has amazing ingredients that you help yourself to. Such a good atmosphere too.

I do want to go to one!
Sigh.

SOTD was Penhaligon's Empressa, which was an odd choice but rather enjoyable. On balance I prefer Artemisia though.
