Oooh, someone got deleted on our thread!

Anyway...Bad Things for September. I have just bought a mini-bottle of Chanel Jersey off Ebay because I wanted some lavender Blush

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 30/08/2019 23:04

Hi, Xing, lovely to see you here!

maud I tried the new TF lavender in Glasgow the other week. It was DIVINE, but criminally expensive.

MrsMoggs · 30/08/2019 23:22

Hi Xing - good to hear from you. Sorry to learn of DH's sensitivity.

Glad you approve of the Scherrer, Maud. Have just looked up NF and she was responsible for Eau Belle D'Azzaro which I used to wear back in my pre-Perfumista days. Talking of lavender, what do you think about Jicky?

MotherOfDragonite · 31/08/2019 09:43

Delighted to get my HN discovery box in the post now we're back.

I've got Amber Iris as my Experimental Perfume Club choice and Un Bois Vanille for the Serge Lutens. I don't know what to try first!

I got another discovery box with Amouage Love Tuberose in it and I tried that on yesterday... it's still going strong. The first Amouage I have tried and I can see why people love it. Beautiful, very long lasting, and a little goes a long way.

Hoooo · 31/08/2019 12:41

Hello fragrant lovelies :)

I now have either got or ordered all the Avon little black dress flankers :)

I have to say, for bargain perfumes, they are excellent!

Lbd itself has similarities to Estee lauder modern muse imo.

Lbd Weekend is a lovely citrus blast.

Lace dress is more musky and has a patchouli note...I think it shares notes with estee lauder modern muse nuit.

Just waiting for lbd party. Raspberry notes apparently. For £7 I'm happy to take a punt!

I think I might ask dh for the HNbox for my b day....

I worry I'd get ones I wasn't so keen on though...some of them sound amazing!

Hoooo · 31/08/2019 13:09

Dh agreed and ordered it for my b day!

Now I just have to wait 6 weeks....😫😫😫

teta · 31/08/2019 16:20

I am trying resist buying the H.N. perfume box. I need to 'shop' within my stash. I have so many samples/decants I haven't worn.
I'm very pleased to be home. My dad is out of hospital and can now walk without getting breathless, which is really a bit of a miracle. I've just worn Hermes Pamplemousse Rose all the time as it smelt optimistic and fresh.
Exciting @Hoooo. So bad you have to wait a while.

Hoooo · 31/08/2019 16:27

Great news teta!

MrsMoggs · 31/08/2019 18:57

That's good news Teta.

Don't think you'd regret it Hoo.

Am now owner of sparkly floral lurex demi-turban and hold some of you responsible. You know who you are Grin

Hoooo · 31/08/2019 19:02

😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Bodyonme · 31/08/2019 19:53

You won't regret it hooo and you can sell or swap and you're not hugely keen on!

Xing, that's such a shame, is it a permanent aversion?

MrsM, will PM you now.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 31/08/2019 20:06

I think we need a pic, MrsM Wink

I've only sniffed Jicky a couple of times as my local HoF did stock it, but I've never worn it. I do love a good lavender so I really should re-investigate it. In truth, I'm slightly pining for AT Reverie au Jardin (there's a bottle that keeps appearing on ebay but it's more than I want to spend) but I reckon Jersey might do the trick meanwhile.

SOTD has been Clinique Beyond Rose - I know I've said it before but this really is a must for anyone who enjoys a twist on the standard rose. It's dark, spicy, sour and incensey and I have no idea why it's not hugely popular (well, I do know, because it's a bit weird but ykwim Grin)

FloofyCatDoesTerriblyBadThings · 31/08/2019 20:19

Hoooo I will have to dig out my perfume spreadsheet now! Autumn perfumes are my favourite so I can't wait.

Lots hope you are OK Thanksand welcome back auld!

Judy I love Tatty Devine! I think I have a very old cat ring from them. They also do gin bottle earrings, for MNers who like gin (I think this is basically everyone except me Grin)

Xing your poor DH (and you!) Is it something that will return to "normal"? Sorry if too intrusive a question, please feel free to ignore if so.

MrsMoggs have you really bought a turban? I love you! Come and sit in the turbanned Venn circle with me Grin

I did think of turbans today as I did a very complicated knot/tie thing in my hair wrap and felt very sophisticated I probably looked like I had just got out of the bath so SOTD was Avon Timeless as it seemed to fit so well. I always forget how much I love this. It is definitely a turban sort of smell.

MrsMoggs · 31/08/2019 20:41

I tried it on earlier with a boiler suit. One part Mrs Mole (Adrian's mother), one part Rosie the Riveter and one part Gloria Swanson. Not sure channeling all my style icons at once is the way to go...but it entertained the DC.

Hoooo · 31/08/2019 21:31

I'm spoilt for choice in autumn/winter...
So many beautiful perfumes....so little time!

Hoooo · 31/08/2019 21:37

Love the venn diagram necklace btw judy

Missed auld popping back in!

I won a rather pretty earring and necklace set at a church coffee morning yesterday :)

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 31/08/2019 21:53

SOTD L’Air de Rien. V autumnal here today. We were supposed to go out for dinner for MIL’s birthday but DP has a miserable cold - so ill he didn’t even go to the football this afternoon, which I have never known him to do in 14 years. I wish he would go to bed (in the spare room) because if I catch it and need time off work it’s a disaster at this stage in the term.

www.tattydevine.com/products/venn-diagram-small-necklace-cool

I ordered the little Venn Diagram necklace. I liked the colours more than the big one - the small version also comes in a pinky colour-way. floofy I have loads of their stuff, including a gin necklace. Mine is ancient, at least ten years old, and was part of a collaboration with Gilbert and George. My favourite bits are from the Rob Ryan collaboration, but I am currently wearing my European necklace a lot!

Rosie the Riveter, MrsMoggs ! That’s a wonderful mind-picture and you’re really rocking it!

Maud, I’m so in love with Clinique Beyond Rose. It’s probably in my top ten list, or at least top twenty. That’s high praise from me as I have a lot of perfumes. 😊

I have a dinky miniature of Chanel Jersey, together with Coromandel, Misia, No 22 and Beige. I recently took them with me on holiday. Jersey was my favourite.

Lotsofpots · 01/09/2019 11:50

Packing for holiday and as I went through my perfumes I remembered that my diptyque l'ombre dans l'eau roll on had fallen out of my bag earlier in the summer, lost forever. It's one of my most loved holiday scents. What a bummer.

YesQueen · 01/09/2019 11:51

I've just purchased MMM funfair evening Blush
