Mine is for body:
St Tropez in shower tanning lotion.
Fuck me, it’s incredible!! Although I can get a decent natural tan on the rest of my body, my legs never tan and I’ve never found anything fake tan wise which looks good until now. I only bought the St Tropez because I had vouchers for TKMaxx and saw it in there for about half the normal price, not thinking it would work (with most fake tans I buy, they end up at the back of the cupboard as I’m too lazy to spend ages on application, and I didn’t have high hopes on this, with it only being 3 min to leave it on for.
I bought the light one, and after googling reviews, everyone says to def leave it longer than it says on the tube, so I left it around 6 min, and there was a definite difference.
It’s not a dark tan at all, it just takes the edge of having pasty white legs.
So impressed that I then ordered the medium shade from Amazon, and WOW!
I went out last night after applying this the night before, and had the confidence to wear a short skirt. A friend said I looked like I had model’s legs!
It looks so natural and like a real proper tan, no streaks at all. Total miracle stuff!

The other things I’ve discovered recently for my very spotty and congested skin: Niacimide by The Ordinary, plus Sudocreme - really takes down the redness, and heals spots faster.

@nottoday3000 what does the azelaic acid actually do? I'm interested but find the ordinary hard to get my head round sometimes.

Have ordered the biore watery essence so keen to try that when it arrives.

ihatethecold · 26/08/2019 12:45

I'm also struggling to understand The ordinary products. Even the website doesn't really help me. Thats why I only bought the rosehip oil.

tigerbear · 26/08/2019 13:10

@nottoday3000 totally agree re Biore Watery Essence. The only sunscreen that doesn’t break me out, and actually provides a great base for makeup.
Also like Phoera foundation if used sparingly.

@tigerbear @CaptainWarbeck do you know what I'm not entirely sure what Azelaic does!! I think it calms redness my skin feels so smooth after tho if I could only buy one thing it would be that from the ordinary and deffo use phoera foundation sparingly probs best with damp beauty blender x

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/08/2019 13:57

It’s for acne and hyperpigmentation. Even prescription strength has no effect on my skin though.

pinkrocker · 26/08/2019 14:06

The new John Frieda weightless shampoo, I have long bushy wavy hair and it gets greasy very quickly, within a day usually so I would normally have to dry shampoo. 3 days after using this it's not greasy even when it's warm outside and I've been hot and sweaty. Converted. Smile

sue51 · 26/08/2019 14:13

Isotretinoin
Ultrasun spf 50 tinted moisturiser
Drunk elephant vitamin C serum
Biotin supplements

pinkrocker · 26/08/2019 14:15

Oh, and Calypso once a day factor 30. Used in Cyprus for a week and didn't burn at all. (one bottle is not quite enough unfortunately)

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/08/2019 14:49

Isotretonoin is the dogs. I would take it again.

notastealthboast · 26/08/2019 16:37

How many drops of the isle of paradise should you use?

desperatesux · 26/08/2019 17:25

Anything Biologique Recherche
It has seriously transformed my skin and I don't have good skin naturally. I look younger now than I did 10 years ago

Its a cult french brand, expensive but worth every penny.

bakedbeanzontoast · 26/08/2019 19:50

I'm using origins prettifier spf 35 at the moment. It's quite good, I often have terrible reactions to spfs. I don't expect I'll ever find one that can come with my oily t zone though.

Fstar · 26/08/2019 19:55

Neutrogena watergel moisturiser, magnitone xoxo, parlux hairdryer

tigerbear · 26/08/2019 19:55

@bakedbeanzontoast - try the Biore Watery Essence, it’s amazing. I have very oily skin, and this doesn’t turn it greasy at all.

OP posts:
bakedbeanzontoast · 26/08/2019 20:00

@tigerbear I'm afraid I have; it is good and it is my cheaper option but it can't tame the oil for me 🥴. That, clarinet and the one I'm using just now are the 3 I go between but the Clarins one at 40 odd quid is something I can only get rarely.

dementedma · 26/08/2019 20:02

Ok, I’m 55 and skin is ageing and looking tired. I’ve just looked on The Ordinary website. where to begin???

hollieberrie · 26/08/2019 20:02

Thanks @Sarcelle - just ordered the light tanning drops with the Look Fantastic offer you mentioned. Free delivery too! Bonus.

Seconding Biore Watery Essence, I love it and my skin is super oily. Also it smells divine, sort of orangey, its gives me that holiday feeling when I put it on.

cloud1183 · 26/08/2019 20:30

Dementedma

You defo need vit c and a retinol. I use the 23% vit c emulsion but that may be a bit too strong if you are not used to it so maybe try a lower strength. The granactive retinoid emulsion is excellent also.

You’ll need to wear an spf if you are using these products

sheshootssheimplores · 26/08/2019 20:36

hollieberrie have you found a discount code that works on the lookfantastic site? I’ve got the st tropez mousse that was mentioned here in my basket but need a code 🤭

nononever · 26/08/2019 20:39

Try BEAUTY20 code

KateCantab · 26/08/2019 22:19

Origins Vita Zing tinted moisturiser spf40 is my new must have item.
It enhances my complexion and gives a a fabulous glow.
Rosehip oil on my deeper lines - I’ve swapped this in place of an eye cream.
A matte, very light toned bronzer from Body Shop which I now use instead of a face powder. Illuminating without being glittery.
All of Superdrug’s Naturally Radiant range, especially the night cream.

sheshootssheimplores · 26/08/2019 22:44

I tried that code but for some reason it doesn’t work 😬

nononever · 27/08/2019 07:16

That's weird as I see it as a banner on the site

What has been your latest holy grail/can’t do without it purchase?
sheshootssheimplores · 27/08/2019 07:18

I know! I can only assume it has restrictions attached.

Sarcelle · 27/08/2019 07:26

The code won't work because the St Tropez already has 20% off (I think). I only looked at a few products, not the one you were looking for specifically.

The Isle of Paradise drops I bought were on offer already, so the code did not work for them either.

If something is already 20% off, its a bit of a financial stretch for a company to take another 20% off.
