Mine is for body:
St Tropez in shower tanning lotion.
Fuck me, it’s incredible!! Although I can get a decent natural tan on the rest of my body, my legs never tan and I’ve never found anything fake tan wise which looks good until now. I only bought the St Tropez because I had vouchers for TKMaxx and saw it in there for about half the normal price, not thinking it would work (with most fake tans I buy, they end up at the back of the cupboard as I’m too lazy to spend ages on application, and I didn’t have high hopes on this, with it only being 3 min to leave it on for.
I bought the light one, and after googling reviews, everyone says to def leave it longer than it says on the tube, so I left it around 6 min, and there was a definite difference.
It’s not a dark tan at all, it just takes the edge of having pasty white legs.
So impressed that I then ordered the medium shade from Amazon, and WOW!
I went out last night after applying this the night before, and had the confidence to wear a short skirt. A friend said I looked like I had model’s legs!
It looks so natural and like a real proper tan, no streaks at all. Total miracle stuff!

The other things I’ve discovered recently for my very spotty and congested skin: Niacimide by The Ordinary, plus Sudocreme - really takes down the redness, and heals spots faster.

xJune88 · 25/08/2019 15:22

@taybert @tigerbear I've got the in shower tan in medium.. I've only tried it once but it did nothing what so ever. Maybe I didnt leave it on long enough? Any tips?!

OhioOhioOhio · 25/08/2019 15:28

This is so unglamorous. But clearasil facewash.

hollieberrie · 25/08/2019 15:29

Ooh I absolutely love these kinds of S&B threads, thanks OP.

Mine are:
The Ordinary Niacinamide - I no longer have to blot my oily skin multiple times a day!! And it's just clearer and brighter.

Hourglass Ambient something - I got a mini. Defo makes me look more alive.

Garnier daily fake tan stuff, cheap and looks v natural.

Midi length tube skirts. They suit me! Who knew - am short and fairly chunky of leg. I feel great at work in them and for days out.

taybert · 25/08/2019 15:49

@xJune88 one application isn’t enough to notice a difference, I used it three consecutive days to start with then twice a week to top up.

xJune88 · 25/08/2019 16:38

@taybert ah thankyou I have a newborn so showers are in and out as quick as possible Haha. Will try again!

taybert · 25/08/2019 17:53

@xJune88, ah yes, three minutes is a loooong time if there’s an unhappy little person!

Belgravian · 25/08/2019 18:05

I’m using this as a neck and décolleté cream and it’s lovely.

Korean Italy Towels here (not a recent purchase though) makes my skin smooth and mu bum quite literally like a babies (but larger)

And my new epilator . So nice to see the pesky hairs whisked away and no mess . I use Nads Sugaring on my armpits, it does wash away but I on't use it on large areas as it drags the hairs on application.

ihatethecold · 25/08/2019 18:47

Does anyone know of a good facial wash cloth. Ive looked at the Korean Italy cloth but they are for bodies

AgentCooper · 25/08/2019 18:53

Benefit Dandelion blusher/face brightening powder. I have never, ever gone near actual powder but I thought i’d give this a go and I love it. I just bought the miniature but i’ll get the big one next time. It’s a lovely colour on me and I reckon it does brighten me up!

Mac Powder Kiss lipstick- the texture is just lovely on.

I was wearing L’Oreal Baby Roll mascara because I wanted something that actually gave my eyelashes some oomph, and it does, but i’m starting to think it looks a bit spidery so any recommendations welcome.

Chilledout11 · 25/08/2019 19:01

Mascara - Essence Falsh lash. Cheap but brilliant.

Atlasta · 25/08/2019 19:03

GOSH Rose lipstick. Perfect against my pale skin/brunette complexion.
MakeUp gallery poundland liquid eyeliner is fantastic. Lots better than my usual Maybelline one and prefer it Soap &Glory Cat Eyes one which was my all time favourite.

AnneLovesGilbert · 25/08/2019 19:03

I swear by this mascara @AgentCooper

Good brush, no smudging, takes some effort to get it off, nice thick lashes without spideriness or clumps, lasts ages, costs nothing. I bought it on a whim as I was budgeting and I’m never wearing anything else. Give it a go!

alwaysthinkingofsleep · 25/08/2019 19:19

@Sarcelle I just dab one finger in the pot & press it jnto the corner of each eye, then pat around the contour of the under eye until it's blended. I then put a teeny dab of Nars concealer in the same spot & pat again until fully blended. It's the only thing that has worked for me & I have had loads of compliments about looking more awake since using it. I hope you can get it to work for you too!

Grafittiqueen · 25/08/2019 19:32

Korean Italy towels here too. My skin is so smooth.

JaneJeffer · 25/08/2019 20:43

hollie where do you get the tube skirts please? I used to love them back in the 80's! So comfy.

BestIsWest · 25/08/2019 20:44

This thread is bad for my bank balance. I’ve now ordered the Korean towels and bought the in shower St Tropez stuff.

lavenderandthyme · 25/08/2019 20:58

Where do you get the stuff for regrowing gums please?

Sarcelle · 25/08/2019 21:03

@alwaysthinkingofsleep

I will give it a go!

Lulualla · 25/08/2019 21:03

Receeding gums do not grow back. The tissue cannot grow back; gums don't do that. You can get a gum graft or there is a resin they can use which is coloured to look like your gums but they do not grow back.

You can get treatments to stop them receeding further and improve the look of the gum line which is left. It will look better and healthier but they do not grow back. It simply isn't possible for the tissue to do that.

Speak to your dentist before you argue back against that.

BillywilliamV · 25/08/2019 21:04

Cable ties

hollieberrie · 25/08/2019 21:10

Jane my fave ones are from Primark! But I also have some nice ones from Superdry and one from Jcrew.
I just never thought it would suit me but I actually love it with a half tucked in shirt or a draped tee.
Defo give it a try!! Sooooo comfy.

JaneJeffer · 25/08/2019 21:17

Thanks hollie I'll have a look.
