Oh I don’t know.
‘I’m 93 and my husband is 98. We like to invite the family to join in in the family house in Scotland. Its completely private and all comforts are provided.
My grandson and his wife declined the invitation because their baby is very young and they feel the trip from London will be a bit of a hassle. They did however take the baby on two holidays in short succession earlier this summer.
Despite my advanced age I’m very much involved in the running of the family firm. I feel that the informal holiday setting would have let me enjoy my grandson’s and his family’s company and help me bond with what might be my last great grand child.
YABU to be a bit miffed we did not get to spend what might have been a last family holiday?’
You can see this from a different angle.
