I swear I’ve read that AIBU @BertrandRussell Grin.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/09/2019 08:17

Wasn’t that list actually issued, but as a joke? I forget the actual details.

Well it was announced that they were going a while back, and apparently they’re not now.
Also Archie is not going to be seen getting off the plane in South Africa. It’s their choice but they’d better pack their tin hats.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/09/2019 08:19

It was issued by a neighbour as a joke. You'd think the journos of The Sun would've done some digging and discovered that!

Oh I don’t know.

‘I’m 93 and my husband is 98. We like to invite the family to join in in the family house in Scotland. Its completely private and all comforts are provided.

My grandson and his wife declined the invitation because their baby is very young and they feel the trip from London will be a bit of a hassle. They did however take the baby on two holidays in short succession earlier this summer.

Despite my advanced age I’m very much involved in the running of the family firm. I feel that the informal holiday setting would have let me enjoy my grandson’s and his family’s company and help me bond with what might be my last great grand child.

YABU to be a bit miffed we did not get to spend what might have been a last family holiday?’

You can see this from a different angle.

frugalkitty · 05/09/2019 08:33

Well if I have to drag myself and the kids six/seven hours in the car to my in laws in Norfolk every summer, I don't see why H&M can't do the same. The first time we went with DS1 he was younger than Archie and we took everything with us (including a nappy bucket for the washables! Grin)....somehow I don't think the royals will need to do that!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/09/2019 08:35

Charlotte has arrived at school

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/09/2019 08:37

Kate’s in a dress, it looks new. I’ll have to find some photos

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/09/2019 08:39

Kate looks really tanned. I like the blonde highlights

DoC looks lovely 🙂

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/09/2019 08:51

I don't blame them for not wanting Archie papped as they get off the plane. It's a non issue for me. A snatched blurry pic of a covered up baby is not worth the bother.

I think not going to Balmoral is a bit off but their choice. Maybe they're pissed off with HM because she wouldn't let them live in Windsor Castle and they had to make do with a fully refurbished 5 bedroom house in the grounds 😂

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/09/2019 08:54

DoC does look fab but sorry, it's that skirt length again.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/09/2019 08:59

Kate looks great but something about that pattern (or at least how it appears in the photo) says "BA cabin crew" to me!

Whatever other criticisms of M&H people have, I find this outrage at not wanting him to be public property very odd. Mumsnet is full of people complaining about family members taking pictures of their babies!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/09/2019 09:02

Ok, I'm going to say it. That dress looks like the ones they advertise in the back of the Sunday supplements. Along with shoes with Velcro fitting for extra wide feet. It's the DoC's natural fabulousness that's saving it.

BertrandRussell · 05/09/2019 09:02

And that is such a tedious dress Kate is wearing!

Gooseysgirl · 05/09/2019 09:08

The hair is FABULOUS, dress is terrible 🙄

FlyMayBe · 05/09/2019 09:11

Loving Kate's hair today. Am liking the cut of her dress too - especially the neckline. Perplexed at criticism from others - she's on the school run, ffs!! I wouldn't wear my most fashion-forward looks for the school run either.

Re the Sussexes - after the hammering they've had recently, I'm not surprised they are staying at home.

megletthesecond · 05/09/2019 09:11

"Sunday supplement dress" Grin. It is isn't it.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/09/2019 09:16

They aren't, though. They've just had two holidays and are off to SA.

bluebell34567 · 05/09/2019 09:18

i like her dress.

Amanduh · 05/09/2019 09:20

I think Kate looks absolutely great. Dress is very nice cut and colour, setting appropriate, and she looks gorgeous!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/09/2019 09:22

Charlotte looks a bit different in her close up.
Kate’s dress is Michael Kors.

BertrandRussell · 05/09/2019 09:23

I don’t like the dress because it’s neither one thing or the other. Smarter than necessary but not interesting.

thisshitgotreal · 05/09/2019 09:37

Hair and tan look amazing but I agree with the pp who said BA cabin crew about the dress:

www.britishairways.com/en-gb/information/about-ba/history-and-heritage/uniforms/ba-uniforms - check out no 8!

queenofarles · 05/09/2019 09:42

Not liking the dress at all.

Archie is too young to travel commercially yet!
Or maybe the Queen felt a bit rejected about them picking Elton’s villa over Balmoral , and took invitation back Wink
But seriously why go there after skipping the whole family reunion makes no sense.
