Seems like ages since we've seen Max, but here she is today wearing her much-favoured enormous hat!

That message was on both Twitter and Instagram yesterday.

The details on Meghan's capsule collection. She's going to be at Smart Works for the launch next Thursday. I'm not expecting high fashion but I think they'll be smart and classic pieces.

Zara is one of those rare and dare I say lucky women who look better dressed down than dressed up. She looks great in those photos. I don't think stiff formal wear does her any favours.

QueenOfTheAndals · 04/09/2019 22:43

I agree @MotherofPearl, she always looks uncomfortable when dressed up and her clothes seem restrictive.

It’s the Jigsaw Paris suit, a tote from John Lewis, so I presume the shirt is by Misha Noonoo..

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 04/09/2019 22:52

It would be cool if Meghan was wearing the actual outfit.
Black Trouser suit and crisp white shirt is one of her go to looks.

QueenOfTheAndals · 04/09/2019 22:57

I think there's a dress too, so maybe that's where M&S come in.

I suspect you don’t know what Smart Works is about....
I don’t understand what you mean, Bertrand?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/09/2019 06:48

Nice pic of William. He just needs to buzz those wispy bits of hair short again.
He’s opening a Bafta building on the 16th.

Happy Birthday to Pierre Casiraghi

He and Beatrice look stunning here.

Rhubarbisevil · 05/09/2019 06:56

Is Zara wearing pleather?! Shock

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/09/2019 07:13

Looks like it @Rhubarbisevil! But maybe it's just shiny lycra. Pleather wouldn't be my choice for cycling!

That's a really nice photo of William @CurlyWurlyTwirly, he looks much younger when he smiles.

And Pierre was a bit gawky in his younger days but is so handsome now. Sadly the opposite has happened to his older brother!

Oh dear, apparently The Sussexes are not going to Balmoral because Archie is too young
I suspect they were stuck between a rock and a hard place as they can’t use a private jet given all the criticism and don't want to fly commercial.
He’s probably too young for a 12 hour road journey. Who knows.
However, when they go to South Africa, do they, their entourage and journalists take an entire commercial plane? ( genuine question)

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/09/2019 07:35

Don't the RF always fly commercial for long haul official trips? H&M didn't take a private jet to Oz last year, though of course Archie wasn't around then.

The media love to imagine "snubs" though, it was the same a while back when W&K spent Christmas with her family rather than at Sandringham. Could be that HM is disappointed but understands.

Could be. It seems very bizarre though because it obviously isn’t the baby’s age given that he’s already been abroad twice and is about to go to SA.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/09/2019 07:39

Or maybe the story is as true as the one about the list of demands given out at the neighbourhood meeting near Frogmore!

OP posts:
CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/09/2019 07:43

Emily Andrews is usually a pretty reliable source.
I think when they go on tour, they use a commercial plane eg, a BA plane but I think the FO hires the whole thing, so technically it’s a huge private jet. Otherwise, is it just full of other passengers waiting for the royal entourage to «deplane» until they can?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 05/09/2019 07:44

He’s probably too young for a 12 hour road journey.

They wouldn't have to do it in one go, though. It's not like they haven't got plenty of places to stop along the way. What better opportunity to make a low key pitstop at a couple of small charities en route and give them a bit of a boost?

Strawberrycreamsundae · 05/09/2019 07:48

I'm waiting for someone to say PH is snubbing the Queen /sulking/whatever.
His excuse certainly doesn't stand when he's already been abroad twice with the baby.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/09/2019 07:52

Didn't Emily Andrews break the story about the list of demands? That's not what I'd call reliable!

Yes she did https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9594704/meghan-markle-prince-harry-archie-list-neighbours/

“My MIL insists that all her children go to her big house in Scotland every summer. We live near London. I have a new baby and really don’t want to go. It’s all walking and country sports and that’s really not my thing. AIBU to not go this year?”

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/09/2019 07:56

It would be a resounding YANBU @BertrandRussell, along with "you know what's best for your baby"!
