Let's keep criticism to the clothes rather than the women please...

Queen Margarethe was absolutely lovely looking on her wedding day. Great dress too, very regal with that front piece that is reminiscent of the hard bodice front of say 16th or 17th century dresses.

There were a few raised eyebrows at how Sophia's dress is basically a copy of Kate's, but sure they looked too happy for anyone to criticise.

I generally dislike that faux Victorian look that was popular in the 70s. But it is a distinctive look! There's a tv programme called Something Borrowed, where a bride chooses between her mother's remade dress and something new, and the old dresses are very often those little house on the prarie ruffled things. (They almost always pick the new dress in the end.)

Somehow the faux Victorian look doesn’t suit DMoK at all. She’s called DMoK so much I actually don’t know her first name! Is the implication she arranged her son and DIL’s whole wedding?

Princess Michael of Kent (which is her proper title) was born Marie Christine von Reibnitz and was something like a baroness (would have to check that part)

Her dad was an actual Nazi - a member of the SS! It doesn't get much more Nazi than that...

Princess Michael of Kent is on Desert Island Discs (Radio 4 archive) if anyone is interested. I can’t believe Sophie Winkleman wore that hopped wedding dress!. That was. 1980s obsession.

I have to say that I did like Meghan’s wedding dress, especially the fact that it draped and didn’t cling.

That spoof is totes hilaire. Sadly the Queen’s lookalikey has retired so we won’t see her royal look of disapproval.

She explains the history and how the family disowned him in her DID programme - give it a listen - it’s very interesting! Princess Margaret did one too.

First photos of the duchesses from today. I assume Meghan's dress is a tribute to HM's favourite curtains but I do like her coat. Kate's dress looks like something a heroine from a 1930s romantic novel would've worn!

No idea why the photos have come out as they did. It's just not my day!

I love that the DM headline has M and K 'REUNITED!'

I haven't been REUNITED with my SIL since about last October and we're both just fine.

Kate's dress is not great the colour and the neckline a massive miss for me and again the shoe colour isn't fab I don't think nude works with that shade of green

Meghan I'm not sure the print isn't great but I think it's the best of her recent dresses. Hard to see with the coat on.

I'm disappointed this isn't a gown event though I do love a gown

I know which look I prefer and it doesn't involve ruffles or pale mint crepe .

Meghan looks great - possibly my fave look on her in this pregnancy. Kate - well less said really.

I like both dresses actually. Although am chuckling at how different from each other they are. Meghan's dress is good because it's not too fussy and the much thicker fabric means we're not getting any weird lumps and bumps. And I think the brocade works for a formal palace event.

Kate looks great and I like the dress but it does feel a bit Victorian for the event.

Meghans is my favourite. Kate's is not good in my opinion.

I love Meghan outfit for once. Don’t like Kate’s dress at all. Why is she wearing all this matronly frou frou?

Last one but I think in the group shot Meghan looks the best. It's a good look for her no word yet on any of the designers that I have seen.

Caroline's is pretty, despite the Princess Leia hair.

Princess Michael's is very of it's time. It reminds me of my MIL's. And no veil!

CP Mary's outfit is very similar to ones in photos of my mum from the 80s! I can't say she looks horrible though.

I like MM’s dress! Kate’s is a bit “extreme LK Bennett, the Victoriana edition”.

And lest we forget :) The Queen looks great! Not as fond of her in purple but fab makeup :)

For once they are not all colour coordinated
