And I shouldn't have to say this anymore but will do so for any newbies - let's keep our critiquing to the clothes and not the women wearing them.

From the waist down the dress is lovely but the bust area is not very fiattering or perhaps does not photograph well. The colour is very bland.

Yes agree Kate’s dress is pretty from waist down.
She should have just used one colour for the top. And not so bandage style. Reminds me of 90s azzedine alaia

Agree, waist down it's a lovely dress. She hunches her shoulders and has an odd grin. Maybe botox doesn't help! Not keen on the darker bandage bit across her boobs. Hmm not keen on much of it, really!

Kate’s legs aren’t that actually long in proportion to her height. But they are very shapely.

I dislike tonight’s Gucci but I have to say the woman accompanying Kate has a beautiful outfit. Gorgeous pale pink satin full length skirt and plain black top with corsage! It’s beautiful imo

Not keen on tonight's gown. The colour reminds me of starfish mixed with splattered brains.
Top half looks odd with the wide ribboning/sashing cutting her décolletage off.
However I like the swishy skirt & velvet ribbon around her waist.
Though I don't like it personally, Kate looks good.
I do feel awful when saying what's wrong with the outfits as in real life when friends wear something awful, I adjust my viewpoint to that friends personality.
My bestest & oldest friend & also my youngest Sister are as blunt as anything & prefer the truth. Youngest Sis just says tell me if I look shit in this, rather than lie.
Other friends & older Sis I'm more tactful & say it's nice/ok but this other dress/top/skirt/trousers etc look absolutely stunning on you.
Middle Sis I know not to comment or be non commital as she's a bit temperamental.
I can also see when something looks good on someone even if it isn't my cup of tea.

I'm not so keen on Kate's dress this evening. The best bit is the velvet belt.

Leti looks beautiful and so elegant in that grey dress.

It's really similar to the much better blue/green Jenny Packham dresses. She should have just worn that as it is infinitely nicer.
I also really dislike the sparkly Choos that she's repeated tonight. Don't like at all (which links in with my accessory theory - conveniently for me!)
I do like the colour of the belt and bag. Kate must be so pleased I approve

The belt is the same one she wore with the tweedy Erdem midi last year, isn't it? I'm surprised she can breathe or eat though, the dress is that snug!

This one is velvet but I think the Erdem one, though a very similar colour, was grosgrain?

I really like the evening look more than the white BAFTA dress. I feel like it's high end rather than bridesmaidy.

Has DoC had Botox for the first time? Her forehead looks so much smoother than usual. I wonder if she is dabbling now she may have given up BFing?

I think she's stunning anyway, she just looks fresher and less tired today.

Catherine always looks beautiful and with impeccable grooming. I'm not a fan of the top of this dress either, so strange to have your arms and bust strapped down in that manner but I love how floaty it is and that she has the ultimate excuse for glam impact dressing.

I like the skirt of Kate's dress this evening, but the bodice is all manner of ways wrong. It looks like she has no boobs at all.

Like user said, I was impressed by what the woman greeting her was wearing. Beautiful skirt and lovely top. Apparently she is Colonel Jane Davis, Vice Lord Lieutenant of Greater London.
