And I shouldn't have to say this anymore but will do so for any newbies - let's keep our critiquing to the clothes and not the women wearing them.

Kate is in a tweedy skirt suit today with the flippy skirt style that she favours these days.

(Posted on the wrong thread..!)

I sort of loved last nights dress on MM! And it isn’t my taste but do you know what...

Seeing that pic of Charlene with the swimmer, it got me thinking again about how ace MM’s style was pre-engagement. I bet she’s much more the sort to wear flip flops and jeans. Givenchy is very (don’t kill me) staid, it doesn’t suit her. I liked the white dress as it was a bit West Coast! Bronzer and zinger white dress, fab! Bit glam, bit glitz! And at least it’s very different to Kate who’s very easy in the usual designers, she’s sort of found her groove.

Hoping MM feels comfortable wearing whatever she wants, and hope she finds her groove too. Eg I love Max. Could I wear her stuff? No! Do I always like it.. well. But it’s her style and a joy to see her wear, and she looks so happy in it she can carry off any look.

So hoping for more glam, less haute couture bore, from MM’s team smile more “American” if that makes sense?

Just popping in to say re Meghan's outfit last night - I agree ,it looked a great deal better in video as opposed to still shots .

Static photos it looked ill fitting ,in movement it just looked body con .Of which I'm not personally a fan .

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/02/2019 11:14

Is it just me or is Kate's hair extra bouncy today?

Really vicious article about Meghan in the mail today. Hasn't it been debunked that she only had her mother at the wedding? I'm sure I've read on one of these threads that she had other relatives there.

I think a lot of people took the view that she may have had relatives there, but we wouldn't have known. Plausible, but personally I think unlikely.

I too thought she looked glowing last night - she's really dealt well with this pregnancy, it doesn't seem to have slowed her down at all.

LoversLane · 13/02/2019 11:27

I like Kate’s outfit. Would have loved a trouser suit but I just don’t think she is really into them!

itswinetime · 13/02/2019 11:29

Kate's hair is very fabulous today I like the tweed but I think with tailored black trousers it would have been a much better look. I'm still not a fan of the flappy skirt style Kate suits tailored looks in my opinion. Is this another new outfit it doesn't look familiar to me?

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/02/2019 11:30

No word on a designer for today's suit yet, but it has a look of Chanel about it. Her earrings apparently cost £3000!

If you had legs like that, wouldn’t you get them out?! Grin

NearlySchoolTimeAgain · 13/02/2019 11:38

It says in the Mirror that William is at another event today:

Her husband, meanwhile, will visit homelessness charity The Passage today.

Prince William, 36, will help prepare and serve lunch and hear about the Home for Good programme, which the charity says aims to reduce the incidence of former roughsleepers failing in their tenancies and becoming homeless again.

Wills recently became the patron of The Passage, the charity Princess Diana once took him to visit.

They’ve got a good picture of Kate from the side. Would she have this face with Botox?

I agree with a PP upthread - MM looked so good in basically every photo pre-engagement in her casual clothing and also her red carpet style. And her face is so stunning. The bump will be hard enough to dress when you have also had to change your innate sense of style but she has chucked money at the problem and that hasn’t quite worked. If she chucked a fitter at the problem, that might help.

Love Kate’s suit - surely not Chanel (it’s very like the one she wore to Paris though).

Paradyning · 13/02/2019 12:39

Love Kate's tweed. Hate the flippy short skirt

UrsulaPandress · 13/02/2019 12:40

I really don't like the flippy skirts - loved the midi tartan one she wore to the Forces Christmas Party. But that is just personal opinion and if I had her legs I would probably wear hot pants!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 13/02/2019 12:41

Slightly off topic but saw this on another thread and thought of this one Grin

Reports are all saying bespoke channel so looks like Kate went on a spending spree on the January sales Wink.

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/02/2019 12:45

Bespoke Chanel doesn't come cheap, that's for sure! I'm sure she'll be duly castigated for that and the £3000 earrings by the Daily Mail...Hmm

OP posts:
Wetdogloveshubert · 13/02/2019 12:50

I love Kate's outfit today, and her hair looks so good. Is the reason a lot of us feel 'off' about the skirt suits just because she has such long legs, that maybe there's 'too much' leg?

William's visit to the Passage today is such a good news story. He first visited with Diana in 1993! Recent patronages have been all about mental health, well-being, helping the homeless and sex workers. It's fab to see this focus, and of course a lot more visits with more outfits!

itswinetime · 13/02/2019 12:56

I think personally my issue with the flappy skirts is that they remind me of school skirts don't know why if it's the length or the style but I don't like them not just on Kate on anyone!

AFifthOfKoolAid · 13/02/2019 13:02

Expensive non British designer. I await the criticism for her having the temerity to do this, especially when visiting a charity and distracting from their good work.

I think that length of skirt is great on her, doesn't look so frumpy. I would if I had the legs! In fact I do wear that leg and I definitely don't have the legs Grin I like this look on Kate a lot.

queenofarles · 13/02/2019 13:03

Don't think it's Chanel.

PennyMordauntsLadyBrain · 13/02/2019 13:09

Love K-Middy’s jacket, but I think those flippy skirts look very odd on her. They seem to be quite an awkward length or something?

That hair though Envy < pure envy

BartonHollow · 13/02/2019 13:15

Check in

ImBattlingOn · 13/02/2019 13:18

Blimey the hair extensions are back!! Shock

Notmyrealname855 · 13/02/2019 13:23

If it’s Chanel I would be miffed - how many more years would you wear that suit for, it is rather short.

Feels like she gets things off the rack as they’re always too short, often on the leg and the arm. I’m not against short skirts but some dresses look smaller than they were intended to (I say this as a taller woman!)
