Soy only got back about ten minutes ago, it has been a looong day.
She loved everything including a whirl around Lidl’s with the trolley 😂
We took her for afternoon tea & she loved it & was beautifully behaved.
I am seriously shattered.

Ellapaella · 05/03/2019 22:22

Ah happy birthday to your dgd Len
I am still in hosp overnight but home tomorrow - the lung scan didn't show anything obvious but they can't rule out that I possibly threw of a tiny clot so having some blood thinning and keeping an eye overnight.
I've actually had quite a nice evening - a friend popped in with lots of lovely treats and I've been watching Shetland on my bedside Tv. Slightly annoyed that my new iPhone (on which I have loads of Netflix downloads) is a no go as you can only use blue tooth headphones and I didn't realise!

Len I am so impressed with your virtuous no spending - it's inspiring me not to rush in to anymore buys. I'm going to wait until a week or so before my Rome trip before I do a shopping trip so I have a better idea of what weather will be like. Such restraint! 😇

Huffthepuff · 05/03/2019 22:35

Fingers crossed for the rest of your test results Ella. Sounds positive so far and like they are taking great care of you. I love Shetland!

@justilou1 great pics! Agree on the yellow and brown, definitely keepers.

dontcallmelen · 05/03/2019 22:38

Aww Ella glad you are comfortable, probably wise to have some blood thinning meds, especially with family history.
Dgd had a brilliant day, thanks for the encouragement it’s actually not been to bad, as it has made me wear stuff I already have & some of it has been sat in the drawer since last winter with labels still on😳
Also has really made me focus on buying much more sensibly, so thinking about what I have & any gaps & looking at stuff that I don’t wear much & reasons why, usually it’s because I have bought something on impulse & not thought how i can wear it with other items in my wardrobe, am currently sorting through my summer stuff & actually making a note of gaps, rather than just buying.
Crikey I sound soooo sensible, I’m not really but it was getting a bit out of hand & have to finally try & live within my means & just be a bit more discerning.

ilovecherries · 05/03/2019 22:48

So glad you’re well, ella.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/03/2019 22:54

@Ella, hope you get to the bottom of it all and feel better soon. I am sure you are in good hands. In the meantime, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet in the hospital [away from the housework, kids etc - some consolation!!!] Keep us all posted.
@Melen - happy birthday to your dgd :) Im sure she was spoilt.
In other news, found out this week that grandchild no 2 is on the way. Its early days but my daughter in law is due in October.
Hope you are better @cherries. Sounds very painful right now.
@soyo - hello :) Hope everything is good with you and your family.

never Aww many congratulations, on the impending new addition.
She had a lovely day, I need a good lie down though am totally knackered.

ilovecherries · 06/03/2019 11:54

Congratulations never :)

How are you doing today, ella?

SoyYo · 06/03/2019 12:30

@never congratulations on the new bebé ✨ lots of cuddles to look forward to!

@melen sounds like dgd had a super day Smile I can just imagine her little face pushing the Lidl trolley!
Also I’m glad for your no spend determination as it does (in a weird way) help me also curb my worst enabling impulses! Wink

@cherries hope the pain is more manageable today and you’re feeling a bit brighter. With each passing day your body is healing.

@ella glad to read you’re being treated so well and really do hope today brings more reassuring and positive news.

I’m doing fine thank you for asking. Have some tough deadlines to meet and in Paris next week with work. DS had his driving lesson and I think it’s giving him a confidence boost, he is better this week compared to previous weeks so fingers crossed!

dontcallmelen · 06/03/2019 12:58

Soy glad that Ds is feeling a little more positive, gives him something else to concentrate on as well which is beneficial.
My no spending is indeed doing a public service😂
Cherries & Ella* hope you are both feeling a little better today💐
Fuzzy hope you are feeling less wiped out today, I was reading my post back last night, apologies if it appeared a bit odd was not implying that you may have the same diagnosis as dd, as with her & you it’s a long process of further tests & elimination etc & very much a wait n see depending on results, I hope I didn’t add to the worry💐

EachandEveryone · 06/03/2019 15:50

Im on the London train from a very wet Glasgow. Ive had lots of cuddles and my arms are aching terribly. My hat goes off to those womem that have ivf at 50 because I do not know how they manage every part of me is shattered.

I was waiting for the train and popped into Arran Aromatics Ive never heard of it before and im a sucker for smellies. Ive just sprayed myself with grapefruit and green tea body mist its divine. So, if you spent £30 you got a freegiant size handwash. My case is now twice as heavy with candles etc!

dontcallmelen · 06/03/2019 15:59

Aww Each sounds like you have had a great albeit kanckering time.
Smellies sound lovely.

FuzzyPuffling · 06/03/2019 17:27

Oh melen no adding to the worry at all...I'm just grateful anyone has a) heard of it and b) takes it seriously. Yep, it's real condition!

dontcallmelen · 06/03/2019 17:42

Fuzzy I’m so glad didn’t add any worry for you, yy no ones ever heard of it or what to do, I remember the GP saying to dd he thought it was all in her head, I had to practically carry her into the surgery as at that time she was in so much pain as majority of her joints were so inflamed.
I seriously wanted to ram her diagnosis, where the sun don’t shine for a very long time.
