Ahhh and Breathe! Feeling lovely and refreshed now after shower/curl wash
@soups that’s great, CG recommend drying naturally (I don’t have the time/patience). You really are such a wonderful mum, your DD will thank you in years to come (not just the curly one all of them!) yes wait till there’s a discount on for the ombré (I’m sure at that price they won’t be running out of stock).

@melen so nice of you to ask! First DS session went well (according to him as he’s a young adult I can’t talk to the psychotherapist) but the good news seems to be that he shouldn’t need medication, and that his condition is treatable and brought on by extreme stress. The NHS person was a bit sceptical about him going to a private psychiatrist but my DS needs a fast diagnosis (the NHS waiting list is too long) so she promised to keep tabs on that and recommend from there. He’s now left for a gym session with his older bro so he really is trying so hard to get well and healthy (still eating like a horse). Fingers crossed as he did have big wobbled too this week...I just wanted to say your DGD with white blonde curls sounds positively angelic and super cute (no doubt the reason she’s got you all wrapped round her little finger Grin)

Dear laska take it easy with DGS this weekend, your day sounds more exhausting than mine!

Have a lovely weekend All!

dontcallmelen · 01/03/2019 19:19

Soy sooo glad that the session went well, he has a lot of positives on his side to aid recovery a willingness to engage with support services & a loving & supportive family, also cannot emphasis how beneficial good diet & exercise are as well, he will get there my lovely.
Spot on, she does have us all wrapped around her little finger.
I’m sure I must bore you all silly with my dgd, but I must admit I never really liked children that much (apart from my own!) & it has truly taken me by surprise the sheer love I have for this child, my heart aches when I don’t see her for a couple of days ➡️ sickly 🤢 😂

ilovecherries · 01/03/2019 19:27

After ellas recommendation yesterday, I’ve got myself hooked on Dirty John.

Ellapaella · 01/03/2019 19:33

@SoyYo I'm glad things seem to be a bit more positive xx
Cherries it's great isn't it? I binged watched loads yesterday.

Huffthepuff · 01/03/2019 19:38

Awh Len that's lovely!

Glad your ds is doing better Soyyo. I hope he continues to thrive in his family environment after such a tricky time.

Thanks to you all for the advice on my haul. Lots to think about. I totally understand the chinos aren't all that exciting. I think in reality they will be more useful than the rest when it comes to my work wardrobe but I will take a few days to think it through. I keep a private Pinterest board of 'work wear' and amongst many aspirational shots of much slimmer more stylish people I include pictures of myself when I've worn an outfit that I'm really happy with by the end of the day so that I can look back for inspiration when I feel that I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO WEAR. There's not many of me as I usually find fault with most 'looks' after a couple of hours 😂 but one outfit I do love was chinos with a layered t-shirt and Boden espadrilles. My old chinos resolutely refuse to fit after having a baby and so it was nice to find these Hush ones and feel good in them.

Ella the white tee is a cheap cotton one from Topshop last summer. About £11 I think. Not as nice as the Hush ones but super functional

FuzzyPuffling · 01/03/2019 19:51

Oh you've all talked so much since I last posted! (sorry Blush).

Nothing clothesy to say. I am getting my head around making myself some clothes but I need to work up to it. At the mo my head is full of a consultant's appointment I have on Monday and worrying about possible diagnoses. Clothes ill have to wait for a little while.

I'm loving the stories of cherries magical vanishing norks!

dontcallmelen · 01/03/2019 19:59

Fuzzy how is the hip now? Really hope appointment goes well horrible when you have to go through the weekend desperately waiting for Monday to come, but at the same time not wanting it to come iykwim, maybe thinking about what you want to get started on making could be a bit of a distraction for you💐

Laska2Meryls · 01/03/2019 20:03

DGS here and us all fed ..., DH & I are knackeredafter our day and hoping he won't be too late to bed .. we also corrupted a 6yr old by putting ice and lemon in his Vimto( while we had Gin&t and going 'cheers' Grin..

Laska2Meryls · 01/03/2019 20:06

Not sure if Vimto is even allowed these days ! ( Esp on MN although out kids had it and survived a) ..Don't Mummy.. Wink

Laska2Meryls · 01/03/2019 20:06

Don't Tell mummy ..

FuzzyPuffling · 01/03/2019 20:15

You're right Melen (in my head I say that like "Helen") I do need a distraction.

I've been doing plenty of gardening but Storm Freya is heading this way at the weekend so there'll be none of that!

The hip is neither better nor worse, thank you. It may continue to improve - it has another week before I can say it ahs worked or not. I did get the dreadful steroid flushed face though - I resembled a beetroot for 24 hrs!

Time to get the dress patterns out!

Laska2Meryls · 01/03/2019 20:21

Strom Freya.. it supposed to hit is at 89 mph but was forcast for tomorrow but now Sunday. I don't reckon boats will run so looking like DGs will miss school on Monday ..

neveradullmoment99 · 01/03/2019 20:21

Someone was looking at moheda clogs recently. I found these. They are very similar to mine with the flexi sole:

dontcallmelen · 01/03/2019 20:23

Laska 😂😂 bad Granny yy Vimto mine used to love it ,my Dh stuffs chocolate/ice cream/cake/biscuits down dgd at every opportunity but dgd always grasses him up.
Fuzzy definitely get the dress patterns out, storm sounds as though it could be pretty nasty, according to the weather reports.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/03/2019 20:23

There is also 20% off them atm. They are moheda despite being on the white stuff website.

neveradullmoment99 · 01/03/2019 20:24

So down to around £55

Crikey, didn’t realise the winds were going that fierce, I hate really high winds always nervous of stuff falling & damage that they can cause.

FuzzyPuffling · 01/03/2019 20:37

We get so many storms here (in the face of the prevailing South westerlies) so I'm a little bit blasé. But I try not to drive as there are a lots of trees that lob branches all over the roads!

Ah clogs...I had a pair of brown leather clogs in the 80s and I loved them. Comfiest and moist convenient shoes ever!

FuzzyPuffling · 01/03/2019 20:38

Moist??? No...MOST! Bah!

dontcallmelen · 01/03/2019 20:42

I’m still traumatised by wearing Dr Schols (sp) & cycling so have an aversion to wooden shoes.

whiskyremorse · 01/03/2019 20:43

Mint velvet are on brand alley tonight with some lovely jumpers including an orange to white ombre one for you ombre fans 😉

Laska2Meryls · 01/03/2019 20:58

You'll be ok Len remember I am stuck out in the Channel.. also West end of island nothing between us and the Atlantic..

Whisky thanks for heads up ! Although MV still looking q expensive even on BA..
DGS has conked out.. and look like we won't be long after ..Grin

dontcallmelen · 01/03/2019 21:44

Laska lol big difference in London & tiny island being battered by storms, I need to get a grip.
Was just coming on to say about ombré MV on Brand Alley as well.
Hope dgs sleeps well & not up at the crack of dawn.

SoyYo · 01/03/2019 21:48

DH and I returned after a HUGE food shop and still haven’t eaten! (Ready in 10 mins though) while waiting catching up.
We’ll disappear to North Norfolk tomorrow just the 2 of us as DS has old sixth form friend round and we all need some space (not used to having a house full of grown up boys around anymore) and I’m sipping a G&T a la laska to wind down before food...
The Vimto and sweet bribery of dgc made me laugh. Love it! What else are grandparents for if not to spoil a little?
@Fuzzy Flowers yes have a cunning dress making plan to distract yourself and batten down the hatches if storm gets bad (wish I was craftily inclined but aside slapping paint on old furniture not very skilled at sewing).

@never when we lived in NL in a tiny typical old Nord Holland village (with 17th century windmills it was so cute) our neighbor Klaas (a farmer who kept sheep, fished eels and smoked them and put the new baby lambs in our huge garden) used to wear proper old fashioned Dutch wooden clogs. I’m fact a lot of the villagers did. For real. They were beautiful people our old Dutch neighbors.

Right food ready! Chin chin and night night!

justilou1 · 02/03/2019 08:27

@cherries - no wonder your boobs were sore! Glad the dressings are off now! They sound amazing!!! Am rather jealous, tbh! I need sheepdogs to round mine up!
@Never... 10!!! 🏆🏆🏆🏅🏅🏅🏆🏆🏆

Still feeling for the ladies with the teens with the MH problems. Bad enough watching youngest DD going through the trials of waiting for first period to arrive. (Can barely look sideways without tears or flouncing, which is to be expected, but poor kid!!!)

@Soy... we lived in Arnhem for nearly nine years. I couldn’t believe the number of wooden clogs I saw on building sites and being worn by road workers!!! (Not my idea of safety shoes, but the Dutch are a lot more relaxed about these things!!!) I’m a bit jealous because nobody put lambs in my garden!!! (You can keep the eels though! Ew!!!)
