Chino skirt and pink v- neck slub arrived. Chino skirt is great. Love it. Tee is a beautiful shade of pink. Both keepers. I am a large 12 atm ( working on it) so i would suggest that those without hips perhaps size down. Its a great skirt 😀It is generous.

I got the longer version as i love my denim pencil from hush. Looks great in the summer with chunky slides and v- neck slub. Also goes very well with my khaki linen top.

SoyYo You have made me want Dutch neighbours now, with your talk of baby lambs in the garden and proper clogs. (Mainly the lambs)

SoyYo · 02/03/2019 09:49

@laska fame at last! Grin your DH is wonderful getting up so early on a Sat to entertain dgs. I had a needed lie in, will be setting off for Norfolk coast by lunchtime to blow away the cobwebs and chill. And pop Hush returns back to P.O. before, I do hope you like the ombré wait to read what you think (I warn you the cotton IS thin).
Yes Klaas our farmer neighbour in NL used to fish and smoke eels in a huge drum wearing his clogs, everyday village life in a Dutch village. I don’t like eels but it was so great as I’d never seen it before.
And during lambing season he would transport his sheep back on a boat across the canal and look after them till the lambs were born in a big barn next to the house we rented during our years there. Because we had the biggest garden in the village (football pitch size) then he would fence half our garden and have the moms and babies safe to keep an eye. Every spring we would have a dozen or so mum sheep and maybe 15/20 lambs jumping about to watch from our living room and it made our DC (who were little at the time) sooo happy. All the kids from the village would be just coming in to our garden to watch the lambs

@justi loved my years in NL (4 years, always regretted not extending my expat contract that moved us there) and were some of our happiest family years, my youngest DS (who is now struggling with MH) started school there and could speak Dutch like a native.
We were between Alkmaar and Hoorn (100km north of Amsterdam) which is also the tulip growing region in NL. Every spring I'd be so awed by the colour in the fields I found it hard to concentrate on the road if I was driving.
Great country. Really lovely people.

SoyYo · 02/03/2019 09:58

Great news @never please post a pic? 😍 i do like the pink v neck T and plan to order (but not yet) and now a chino skirt which had gone under my radar too!
You ladies will bankrupt me Wink

Offredismysister · 02/03/2019 11:42

Bryce culottes
Lucky horseshoe Tee
Lucky striped jumper
Santana skirt

I love the tee & the culottes are so comfy & hang well. But, like a pp said, there’s so much fabric. I think they make me look bigger than I am (size 12, 5’6).

The Santana skirt is nice but it’s more orange than red & the waist is too big.
The lucky jumper is snug on the boobs, but quite roomy on the waist. So I look like I’ve got no waist. I do love it though & it might look better with one of the pencil skirts?

Also, unfortunately there’s a large pull in the wool on the front, so it’s got to go back anyway.

@Soy, I am missing my Dutch friends so badly, and of course this time of year in NL is when all the flowers come out to play. It is like someone is shaking out a beautiful, patchwork quilt made of the most exquisite silk when you fly into Schiphol!

Ellapaella · 02/03/2019 12:22

@Offredismysister I like all your stuff. Looks lovely, I can see what you mean about the t shirt though, I don't get on so well with Hush T shirts as I find them just a touch too long and I feel they make me look a bit shapeless.
Love the culottes and the stripes jumper together, great combo.
The Santana skirt is lovely - I have one from last year and wore it loads. Only thing I would say about it is that it does have a tendency to blow right up in even mild breezes!

wearenotacodfish · 02/03/2019 12:33

@Offredismysister I have the lucky jumper and it's the most worn thing in my wardrobe at the moment.

I've bought the fat face dungarees this morning DH hates them but I love them so they are staying. Just need to figure out which shoes to wear with them.

twosoups1972 · 02/03/2019 12:35

Morning all, hope everyone is having a good weekend so far.

laska loved reading about your dgs and the Vimto! What a lovely Granny you are

whisky thanks for the heads up on MV at Brand Alley, I'm off to have a look

twosoups1972 · 02/03/2019 12:38

offred love the culottes and striped jumper.

I'm still wearing a fab pair of Hush culottes from a year or two ago - navy with a white pinstripe. Love them, can't wait to get them out again this Spring.

Ellapaella · 02/03/2019 12:46

@wearenotacodfish how about a pair of white trainers or pumps with dungarees?
Or converse?

wearenotacodfish · 02/03/2019 12:47

Ella that's a good idea I have some white converse knocking about

Ellapaella · 02/03/2019 13:10

Feeling a bit less fatigued and breathless today, much more like myself so have tried on my two recent buys to show you.
Here are the Hush pumps - I LOVE these, perfect for my wide feet, super comfy and a nice round toe which looks great.
First with my new jeans that came today - these are Bershka Mom jeans and I'm really pleased with them. Very comfy and flattering high waist.
Second with last years Hush star Fray boyfriend jeans which are my best Hush buy of all time - I ended up buying an extra spare pair last summer.

Please excuse messy bedroom - DH has been on housework duties this week and is washing bedding today hence why it's all lying on the floor!

I think I now have the worlds largest collection of boyfriend, girlfriend and Mom jeans. So many pairs, I'm a bit addicted.

dontcallmelen · 02/03/2019 13:40

Really really want Dutch neighbours, with lambs in my garden sounds so lovely Soy also love the picture Just painted of the tulips in springtime.
Laska yeahy for Dh & getting up early, scooting sounds really fun has visions of Laska scooting all around the island like a lovely pink haired whirlwind.
Ella so glad you are feeling better, love love the jeans & trainers, my holy grail is finding boyfriend jeans that fit.
Offred all looks good , yy the jumper with jeans or straighter skirt.

whiskyremorse · 02/03/2019 17:27

Ella great trainers! I live in my black trainers with white stars (can't remember what they were called, nightsky maybe? so should look at a more summery pair

justilou1 · 02/03/2019 22:03

@Ella - amazing what a bit of oxygen will do for a girl! So glad you and @Cherries are feeling better and closer to your usual, perky selves! (Just has to use the word “Perky” @Cherries!!!) We have a rental inspection today and as I have been studying and doing assessments and working, my house is a total tip. Looks like a day of de-slovenising (it’s a word now!) ahead of me. It will make me feel better anyway, and it’s ever so much more interesting than my WHS assignment that I have to work on tonight. (Can you think of better cure for insomnia than this combination?) I shall make myself a hearty caffeinated brew and some breakfast to brace myself!

LunaTheCat · 03/03/2019 09:00

Looking at Hush website. I love the Jayne dress in Leopard but would have to ship overseas. Has anyone tried? What is the quality of the fabric like. I am usually a 12 to 14 but the only thing from Hush I have are the Long Harems - I need an XS . The Jayne is oversized ? Do I go usual 12 or brave a 10.
Thankyou.

ilovecherries · 03/03/2019 09:20

Glad you are starting to feel better, Ella. It must have been such stressful and frightening couple of months for you. I love the mom jeans, it’s a style I’ve never worn, but now I have more space available in my top half I think I will give them a try.

I didn’t have a great day yesterday. My nerve pain was pretty bad. I have had hardly any analgesia till now, but yesterday even the paracetamol/ibuprofen combo wasn’t touching it, so I cracked open the box of codiene the hospital gave me. Big mistake, I spent most of the day alternating between thinking I was going to be sick, and feeling as if I would faint. Felt like it just flattened me, and I ended up feeling very sorry for myself.

Today I’m feeling a bit brighter, have reconciled myself to pain being better than the drugs, so have got my leather leggings on and a jada tunic. Have also realised that nearly all my knitwear is too big now.

ilovecherries · 03/03/2019 09:21

luna, sorry,I haven’t seen that one at all.

Ellapaella · 03/03/2019 09:46

@ilovecherries oh god poor you. Codeine totally spaced me out and makes me feel absolutely dreadful, I can't take it at all. I really hope you start to get some relief from the pain soon.

Binkybix · 03/03/2019 09:48

Has anyone got the tiger print bomber jacket at all?

justilou1 · 03/03/2019 11:04

Codeine is awful stuff, isn't it, @Ella? Don't get the attraction at all! (Also rather allergic to opiates, it would seem.) Regardless, the side effects - constipation, etc...
Meanwhile, I have stepped back to the 1950's. I have my first clinical placement coming up and have had to had a test to see if I have been exposed to Tuberculosis. Fair enough. I will be going to a nursing home and these people are vulnerable. Unfortunately when I was vaccinated in primary school, they looked at my reaction and debated giving me a booster as my reaction was quite significant. They erred on the side of caution and did so anyway, Of course, this Mantoux test has come up like the size of a small planet on my forearm, so I suspect its a false positive. Guess who's most likely to have to now need X-rays and blood tests? Bloody expensive! I hope I can claim it on my tax!!!
