Sotd for the third day running is PHI une rose de kandehar. I need to get my hands on a full bottle as soon as I can!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/02/2019 21:03

SOTD Byredo Gypsy Water, yesterday JHAG Mad Madame.

lots hope you and the wee one are doing okay. 💐

Destiel · 12/02/2019 21:07

From my many admissions with ds1 remember to eat yourself pots!

Also...face wipes, dry shampoo and snacks are helpful.

MrsMoggs · 12/02/2019 23:39

SotE Scenthusiasm. Thank you Calm Flowers - always wanted to try this. Gosh it has a huge fresh coriander leaf note.

Lotsofpots · 13/02/2019 07:56

Thanks for the tips and kindness. Parent room and shower found, and the hospital has an M&S food onsite (seriously, whoever thought of that deserves an honour) so I've been able to eat well.

maud your description of Tyger made me lol, so thanks for that.

aubergine hope your DS's interview went well.

Destiel · 13/02/2019 08:50

Sotd pp by the fireplace again.

Destiel · 13/02/2019 09:36

Perfume posted floofy

FloofyCatLovesPerfume · 13/02/2019 12:40

Thank you :) I'll get yours in the post tomorrow, it's only a few Avon samples but I think there is a Perceive flanker...

Lots I really hope BabyLots gets well quickly BrewThanks Neroli Portfofino is my go to hospital perfume.

To cheer up those of us who need cheering up, Spring is definitely on the way and I saw daffodils on the roadside before Smile

SOTD is Eau de Soir but it feels wrong. Is it too early to crack open my Spring favourite, Jade?

ToftheB · 13/02/2019 13:05

I’m feeling ready for spring perfumes. SOTD Miller Harris, Fleur du Matin, beautiful and lemony and fresh.

Does anyone know if there’s any order to the 4160T half price scents? I’m keen to try Rhubarb and Citrus, but I’ll happily wait if there’s a chance it’ll be on offer at some point.

I got all excited about trying some of the Brocard perfumes from bloom, but then I noticed that the postage for a full bottle is almost as much as the cost of the perfume, and I’m just too tight to pay that much. I’ve jumped on the Avon bandwagon instead and ordered Imari Elixir.

I hope babyLots is better soon, I was in hospital with my little one last year and it was a really difficult experience. Get yourself lots of treats from M&S.

Destiel · 13/02/2019 13:25

Its random I'm afraid...and its never one I want!

I've got Avon imari coming soon...

Destiel · 13/02/2019 13:26

Hope you like it floofy...
It's very fruity to my nose

Lotsofpots · 13/02/2019 13:40

Tof once DS is better I'm hoping to get to bloom - happy to pick up and post whatever you were after?

teta · 13/02/2019 13:52

ToftheB Fleur du matin is the harbinger of spring to me. We have crocus & snowdrops in our garden when the sun shines and it’s definitely gone mild. But we all still have a lurgy and I’ve just discovered my 1200 boots point only equate to £12. Why did I think it was £120.
🤦🏼‍♀️.
I so wanted to buy a bottle of Paris perfume to celebrate spring.
Lots glad to hear you are being well fed and hope you & your baby will soon be out. Must try Scenthusiasm, coriander is one of my favourite notes.
Sotd is Wrappings.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 13/02/2019 14:35

ToftheB you can get 40% off rhubarb and citrus with the code mrsgloss at checkout

KaliforniaDreamz · 13/02/2019 15:56

SOTD coeur de fleur and i even made the teacher at parents eve sniff it haha

ToftheB · 13/02/2019 16:05

@lots - that’s really generous, thank you! I think I’m going to wait until next time I’m in London and go and give a few of them a good sniff though.

@maud wow, thank you, that is excellent.

Just almost blind bought Miller Harris Tea Tonique in TK Maxx, has anyone tried it?

67chevvyimpala · 13/02/2019 19:18

Name changer here :)

it is I, destiel

KaliforniaDreamz · 13/02/2019 19:34

As the resident MH expert (!!) i have!
But i am struggling to remember what it was like.

But i know it was in my rejected pile of sniffs.....

sorry that wasn't very helpful was it.

auberginesrus · 13/02/2019 19:56

I've tried Tea Tonique too, wasn't keen but also struggling to remember why, because having checked out the notes on fragantica it looks right up my street! I may have to dig out my tester set...

SOTD Rome 1963 - always feels super grown up this one, and lasts brilliantly. Probably my favourite 4160.

Thanks for the best wishes for ds - his college interview went well and he has a place and is very keen to go. He's trying to persuade them he is up to doing 4 A'levels deluded

Pots glad to hear you have access to quality food, hope you're not there much longer though!

67chevvyimpala · 13/02/2019 20:10

Sote Avon timeless

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 13/02/2019 21:03

Oh well done aubergine's ds!

SOTD has been Wrappings, to cut through my cold.

67chevvyimpala · 13/02/2019 21:04

Well done mini aubergine :)

MrsMoggs · 13/02/2019 21:12

SotD was Halston Amber. Underwhelming on opening but as it warms up, it grows into something really good.

SotE, OMG Calm, is Unum's, But Not Today. Truly repellent opening, (but then it is apparently named after a scene from Silence of the Lambs), and then a weird, super-interesting but slightly eye-watering, filthy-dirty animalic leather, with spicy floral notes peeking through. A challenging but stimulating wear - thank you for letting me try.

And spookily, my favourite pyjamas read 'Not Today' , and are in the exact same crimson as the full bottle. (I occasionally forget, and open the door in them. Not quite as mortifying as when I answered the door to an ex-offender on a rehabilitation programme that involved selling household goods door to door. I was wearing (a very tongue in cheek) t-shirt bearing the legend, 'I heart bad boys'. He must've been disappointed when I didn't buy anything...).

Calm, you've sent me so many lovely things to try I actually have 'Calm's Corner' in my perfume cupboard. Flowers

ToftheB · 13/02/2019 21:24

Hmmm, perhaps I was right to put the Tea Tonique back then. I still sort of wish I’d bought it - I love Earl Grey tea and would be very pleased to find a perfume that reminds me of it.
I did get a nice new mug instead, perhaps I’ll just fill that with real Earl Grey.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 13/02/2019 21:42

SOTD Chanel 19. I’m also ready for spring perfumes, so fed up of winter now.
