Was woken up early from a very happy dream with a fly in my ear. Changed pillows and it was still there. Swapped ears and it was gone. Worked out Cold has caused bunged up ears and when I lie on it my ears make weird noises ranging from flapping to buzzing.

floof the 65 pieces was quicker than I expected, honestly! Though this recipe wasn't as good as one a friend used so I'm going to seek that out.

SOTD is 4160 rhubarb and custard. I craved something comforting, and this is perfect.

Just popping in to say I rate Primark Amber Noir perfume. It smells like Jo Malone pomegranate noir to my mind but the longevity is much better.

I have a secret love for the purple fruity Katy Perry in the cat bottle so it sounds right up my alley! I'll have a peek tomorrow for something to send you in return :) thanks

MrsLucas kindly gave me a sample of PP Astray Fruit. This is a dupe of Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry (have never tried this). Seeing as I have been trying testers and samples of all sorts for some time now, I thought I would try to distinguish some notes in Astray without looking them up, to see how many I could get. It opened with a lovely juicy cherry, developing into a sweet cherry pipe tobacco, not smokey or ashy, just fragrant and comforting. DH loved it because it reminded him of his pipe smoking days, long since gone. We are going to buy a large bottle to share. Only, when I looked up the notes afterwards, there is no tobacco, not even as a base note 😨. I haven’t told him!

Thanks to calm I may have finally met a perfume that is too sweet even for me. Tried my sample of 4160 sex lace and chocolate and couldn't get past the impression of a strawberry cream chocolate. An impressive achievement calm!.

Yes, that’s exactly the smell, but it is a very expensive and posh strawberry cream chocolate! It’s not one of those Cadbury’s Roses that gets left over at Christmas. More like from a heart-shaped box from Harrods. I love it💕. But, yes, it’s very sweet.

To me SLC reminded me of the smell inside the old proper Quality Street tins in our house at Christmas when only the orange and strawberry creams would be left. Its lovely and evocative but a bit too sweet for me too.

Yes! Quality street strawberry creams!

My DH actually likes strawberry creams, so we don't get any left overs. All the more caramels for me!
