PestyMachtubernahme · 08/02/2019 17:03

Or Scent

KaliforniaDreamz · 08/02/2019 18:12

Evening All,

am off out and will re apply Coeur de Fleur because it does not last 10 bloody minutes

but i sort've want to wear Timeless!!!

MrsMoggs · 08/02/2019 18:21

Or Diva.

Destiel · 08/02/2019 18:52

kali its addictive isn't it????

(Sorry!)

I'm wearing it a lot atm...I love it. And at £5 for 50mls I'm stocking up!!

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 08/02/2019 19:59

I'm off out too. Randomly picked MMM Jazz Club. Ds told me I smell like a 15-year-old boy, wearing too much Lynx GrinGrinGrin

auberginesrus · 08/02/2019 20:13

A long and hectic day at work today wearing Nomade again. Sadly not out this evening but may spray something interesting for collecting ds2 from scouts Grin

Whoever was asking about Brocade perfumes I have the Once upon a Time Aphrodisia which is lovely, heliotrope & jasmine but quite light and airy. Apparently has animal notes but I have never picked that up!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 08/02/2019 23:56

SOTD was Byredo Gypsy Water. SOTE after a bath is Black Opium.

Cat-face was back for a post-op check today, and apparently is getting food stuck in her sockets. As well as having to syringe Metacam down her throat, she has to get the cat equivalent of Corsodyl sprayed in her mouth. Going brilliantly, obvs. She’s not allowed any dry food, including treats, which are essentially her life, so she is sad, confused, and hates us.

MrsMoggs · 09/02/2019 10:14

Hope you and Cat Face are pass the worst soon Judy.

Left Lidl with a bottle Deep Blue (the only one without a tester Confused). I got flustered by the amount of interest the security guard was paying me. He literally came and stood 3 feet away, whilst I tried to systematically work my way through their range, using the testers. Had he not seen anyone spray their ankles in order to create space for numbers 5 and 6 before? Grin

Anyway, it freaked me out to the extent I gave up early. Sad < In a hoity voice: this doesn't happen to me in John Lewis. >

So am sniffing Deep Blue (a Hugo Boss rip-off) and it's a pleasant enough spicy citrus oriental, with synthetic wood base notes. Probably going to donate this to DS as I only hang on to FBs I really like, or otherwise find especially interesting.

Am looking out for the Postwoman today. Wink

auberginesrus · 09/02/2019 10:37

Mrs M I'm laughing at mental picture of you being stalked by security guard whilst spraying perfume samples in ever stranger places! Don't you know I'm a fully fledged perfuminsta?

SOTD is Next Eau Nude for ds's taekwondo, a trip to the Scout shop and then afternoon tea with my friend for a late Christmas present.

CocoMadwoman · 09/02/2019 10:50

Morning all.

Heavy week at work and have been uninspired perfume wise.

SOTD is Elizabeth Taylor Violet Eyes which I blind bought yonks ago and have maybe only ever worn once. It’s pretty. A bit safe, but a nice enough zesty floral. No violet, though!

Destiel · 09/02/2019 12:05

mrsm how rude!? 😯

I'm in Avon timeless (again)

I'm giving mum a couple of my bottles I dont reach for anymore...makes more room 😁

I wore next eau nude all last summer. It's great.

I'm hoping to order some tauerville amber flash and vanilla flash samples...but cant remember the website? Can a kind perfumista remind me? 🙏

I'm going to bake soon, then shower so I shall wear something different afterwards! Hmm....what to choose? 🤔

Ollivander84 · 09/02/2019 12:21

SOTD - Kyse Bonbons vanille

Georgianfairy · 09/02/2019 13:31

Sotd is Papillon Angelique. I don't know if it's just the sample I have but it smells like it has gone off at first application Confused. And now it's disappeared to nothing! It's a shame because for a brief moment in between it smelt beautiful!

teta · 09/02/2019 14:57

I’m enjoying the amplified toxic green-ness of Nuit de Bakelite. Slightly bitter greens are my favourite. I love Fleur de liane which features a bitter green Tuberose and Wrappings with its bitter Artemisia but they are nothing compared to Nuit de Bakelite. In fact it reminds of those Asian jungle flowers that only flower once a year. Coach loads of tourists pay to visit and are warned not to get too close. As this plant draws you in and overcomes you.

Lotsofpots · 09/02/2019 16:24

Thanks to calm I may have finally met a perfume that is too sweet even for me. Tried my sample of 4160 sex lace and chocolate and couldn't get past the impression of a strawberry cream chocolate. An impressive a achievement calm!

Been in John Lewis and randomly sprayed Kilian Black Phantom. It's boozy and sweet, but with a definite coffee-ness that keep it from being sickly. It is FIT. As it needs to be at that price.

Lotsofpots · 09/02/2019 16:25

destiel I'm pretty sure I saw them on fragrancesamplesuk.com

KaliforniaDreamz · 09/02/2019 16:25

Bad hangover so may need the comfort of White Musk!

off out again tonight honestly i could cry....

hope all ok x

KaliforniaDreamz · 09/02/2019 16:32

www.tkmaxx.com/christmas/christmas-gifts/stocking-fillers/house-of-dianne-brill-edp-50ml/p/42565020

how about that for a fun bottle!

Destiel · 09/02/2019 16:42

Oh kali you monkey 😁 enjoy! 🍸🍾

Thank you lots Ive just realised, however, that Ive got 3 bottles of perfume from Avon coming soon, and I've ordered another 50mls of pp by the fireplace...😁 (I love it and am pre Brexit stockpiling!)

So I might need to wait on the samples....😔

MrsMoggs · 09/02/2019 17:08

Missed the Postwoman, but the package got through the letter box. Smile

With thanks to Destiel - I am the proud owner of some London 1969. Not sure how I've managed to overlook this one, but it is very good. It is the introvert sibling to the exuberant Shazam! With a lemon/lemon grass/lemon barley sugar, rather than orange, opening, and a hippie patch base. The heart is softer and more floral/aromatic. Hasn't got Shazam's! pyrotechnic fizz, but is still gently effervescent (much more so than the oddly-named Lemon Sherbert).

Destiel · 09/02/2019 17:13

That's a very good description of it mrsm! Glad you like it.

It's not as sweet as lemon sherbet and not as spicy as shazam but it has the skanky patchouli base 😁

I've cleaned, I've baked, I've helped dh buy gifts for clients so now I'm done for today.

My post shower scent is - rather predictably - pp by the fireplace.

FloofyCatLovesPerfume · 09/02/2019 17:24

Ollivander I've had gold sugar in my amazon basket for ages but the word sugar puts me off Grin, is it definitely not a pink minger? I don't mind warm vanillary....

Judy I know I seem over invested in cat face Grin but can she have lik e lix? She might love you again then :)

MrsM I hate officious security guards (they latch on to me all the time, probably the hair) and ironically one of the worst was in The Fragrance Shop! I wasn't actually planning to buy anything and was just testing everything Grin but the guard annoyed DH so much he bought me something just to piss him off Smile I think it was a Mary Greenwell (when they were full bloody price too Hmm) I wasn't even spraying my ankles!

SOTD Eau de Soir. Everything is boring me atm so it was a random pick.

Love that our weekends on this thread consist of hangovers and skank Grin

Destiel · 09/02/2019 17:27

floody I know! It's like being 17 again...
then I look in a mirror!

Destiel · 09/02/2019 17:33

I don't know who floody is!
