SOTD Bibliotheque. mrsL I might have a look in TK Maxx here, I really love this, although it’s so not like my usual smells I probably shouldn’t. I wish they dud body cream stuff for it.

We’re off for a very late lunch, then tonight will be M&S party food, and all the cheese.

floofy I tried that once in desperation, long before MN, but the only thing that actually helped was two consecutive courses of antibiotics. That was a proper chest infection though, not just a lingering cold like this stupid thing I currently have.

Raising a glass to absent friends. I wonder how blue is getting on? Hope everyone has a good New Year’s Eve and a happy 2019!

UnnecessaryFennel · 31/12/2018 14:13

Happy New Year my fragrant lovelies! It's been an absolutely fabulous year with you all. I am probably not going to be around quite as much as before because I really, really, really need to not spend money on perfume next year.

And yes, I know I've said this before but This Time It's Serious and you are all appalling enablers Grin

I do need to spend my Liberty voucher though (doesn't count cos it's not my money)...was thinking Heeley Hippie Rose?

I tried Chanel No5 yesterday for, possibly, the first time Blush. Or the first time I've paid attention to it Grin. But that's because I wanted to do a direct comparison with my £4 L'Aimant. It really is very, very similar. The Chanel seemed more rounded and soft (like a £20 wine v a £5 one) but I can see why the L'Aimant was/is considered to be a dupe.

Interesting MrsL as LE no15 lasts and lasts on me. One of my favourites.

SOTD is JM velvet rose and oud, in an attempt to pretend I'm doing more tonight than staying in with an M&S dine in for £20, where we're unlikely to see midnight (sleep you tiny little bugger, sleep!).

Happy new year all.

auberginesrus · 31/12/2018 20:04

Happy new year to you all Wine. Here's to more fragrant discoveries in 2019!

SOTD was FM Hiver, beautiful but didn't last on me, need to go and find a SOTE suitable for slobbing in PJ's and watching Antman with DH and ds2 #rockandrollnye

toffee1000 · 31/12/2018 20:24

SOTE Eau des Jardins from Clarins. Again it’s more a spring scent than winter, but whatevs. It smells nice so on it goes. Think I’ll wear Lancôme O d’Azur again tomorrow.

Calmanddance · 31/12/2018 21:33

Happy New Year, everyone! Please have a drink on me! 🍾🍹🍸

MrsL and OutComesTheWolves, I remember testing the Di Palomo Black Cherry and Almond in a National Trust Shop a couple of years ago when it was full price. You’re right, MrsL, it’s the sort of thing I go for. I agree with Bluesheep, it has the most beautiful top notes which last for an hour or so, but then (on me at least) nothing much else. It might be worth £10, though. I saw it in TKMaxx before Christmas but resisted. My New Year resolution is to spend less on perfume!

My SOTD was Black Opium, a rich, sweet, coffee vanilla.

Happy new year everyone GlitterballWine. I hope no one is feeling too rough this morning.

I was designated driver last night so I'm starting 2019 hangover free.

MrsLucas · 01/01/2019 13:55

Happy New Year All!

Despite a resolution to stop with the cheap and cheerful purchases and save up for out and out gems, I seem to have found my way to PP this morning. Astray Fruit is just such a funny name for Lost Cherry, that I had to have a small bottle. Grin

(My dream job whilst growing up was to be the person responsible for coming up with the names on the Dulux colour chart (true). If anyone can think of an employment angle involving naming conventions please PM me Grin).

Fennel I know what you mean about temptation enabling Wink here and I really can't spend money in 2019 but I might treat myself to the Feel Unique samples for £3.95 every so often, and live vicariously through this thread Smile

Having said that, my goodness I need to try the Astray Fruit Grin Please will you let us know what you think MrsL?

SOTD Cerutti 1881 as it's quite "soft" and comforting and I am also having a PJ day, so far I have watched ET and The Railway Children and am gearing up for The Goonies later - nostalgia fest deluxe!

Happy 2019 everyone!

SOTD Heeley Cardinal. Pj dayhere too, and I also watched The Railway Children. I then had a bath in the tobacco flavoured Molton Brown DP got for Christmas - I really like it, but some of the others are just rank.

Lotsofpots · 01/01/2019 20:23

Can anyone remind me of the 4160 mrs gloss code? Ta

Speaking of 4160 Tuesdays, was hoping there might've been a sale, but perhaps their move has done for that?
