Have I made a terrible mistake going blonde? (With pics)

Just went from brown-ish to blonde a few days ago and I am really not sure I like it!! I am seriously considering to go back to the hairdresser and dye it darker again.

Mumsnetters, please give me your honest opinion! Should I stay blonde or go back to brown?

PS: I am terribly un-photogenic, so please forgive the odd facial expression in both images

Honestly, blonde. You look very mannish with the short brown hair, although perhaps it is the camera angle.

I don't think the yellow tones in the blonde suit your skin tone; I think you'd look even more lovely with a cooler, ashier blonde. Try Fudge clean blonde shampoo if you want to lift the colour a bit.

I suspect you find it a bit of a shock because you look extremely different. I think you look perfectly lovely in the blonde, my personal preference of the brunette. Personally I would wait a while and see what you think when it gets to the needing recolouring stage - that would be a good time to decide.

I prefer the brunette picture from a personal taste perspective but you can get away with both.

I think you look good in both pictures but I think you look edgier and sassier as a brunette and a little generic as a blonde.
