Have I made a terrible mistake going blonde? (With pics)

Just went from brown-ish to blonde a few days ago and I am really not sure I like it!! I am seriously considering to go back to the hairdresser and dye it darker again.

Mumsnetters, please give me your honest opinion! Should I stay blonde or go back to brown?

PS: I am terribly un-photogenic, so please forgive the odd facial expression in both images Grin

You're so photogenic and beautiful! I prefer the blonde x

BengalLioness · 13/10/2018 12:19

I like the blonde but the cut in the darker pic! Look lovely though in both!

HollyBollyBooBoo · 13/10/2018 12:19

Completely stunning in both photos, but I prefer blonde as you're really pale (beautifully so! Not a criticism).

Sitranced · 13/10/2018 12:23

Are you Claire from Steps?

Blonde suits you

Itchytights · 13/10/2018 12:56

Definitely blonde!

Beautiful ❤️

Marley45 · 13/10/2018 12:57

I prefer you blonde! And you are in no way unphotogenic! You look great.

DameSquashalot · 13/10/2018 12:59

You look amazing in both pics. I don't think it's a mistake by any means, but I prefer the brunette. 😊

Robin2323 · 13/10/2018 13:06

Blonde
You look great!

Sonjing · 13/10/2018 13:06

Thank you all for your kindness Thanks

It sounds like the verdict is pretty 50/50! So maybe I'll stick with blonde for a bit and see if it grows on me..

Both look fab

LucheroTena · 13/10/2018 13:15

It’s a really good blond. I would stick with it. And I often think brown hair / brown eyed people get the ‘wrong blond’. You really haven’t.

shadyzadie123 · 13/10/2018 13:16

I love the blonde. It really suits you. And you're absolutely gorgeous btw! I'd kill for cheekbones like that!

WhatsGoingOnEh · 13/10/2018 13:33

That's a really good colouring job - so natural, and really lovely shades of colour. I love it.

You look great in both. But I think I'd have fun as a blonde for a while. When it starts growing out, you can always change it back.

Lynne1Cat · 13/10/2018 13:37

The blonde suits you. I hate to say this, but you look a little bit butch in the dark-haired photo

I like you blonde better too! And the longer hair and lippy. Stay blonde!

MapleSpice · 13/10/2018 14:01

You look gorgeous!!! I love the blonde, you look stunning with it dark too.

BewareOfDragons · 13/10/2018 14:06

I normally think too many people 'go blond' and it doesn't flatter them ... but not you ... you look great! I would keep it!

pontiouspilates · 13/10/2018 14:08

You look amazing in both pics, but personal preference for me is the slightly edgier look you have as a brunette.

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 13/10/2018 14:08

you are lovely and very photogenic - I prefer the brunette picture as I think you look more edgy/funkier, but that may just be the photo rather than the hair colour (sorry - not very helpful!)

Mainchanger · 13/10/2018 14:10

Both look lovely. I've just this week gone from blonde to darker! I guess it will take some getting used to but I'm sure you will soon love being blonde.
(Have you got blue/ silver shampoo??)

ShmooBooMoo · 13/10/2018 14:11

I'm sorry I'm going to go against the tide. I think the blonde makes yo look a bit blah and nondescript, but that could be due partly to the cut too. Whereas, when I saw your brunette version of you I though, Wow! The colour and cut are made for you, bring out your lovely features and eyes. The difference between blending in and standing out but for all the right reasons! I'd go back...

PillowOfSociety · 13/10/2018 14:19

The blonde is fine, you look great, but I think you are right: the darker colour is better with your eyes. And the cut in tne darker pic is better for your face, and more distinctive, too.

They aren’t the same pics. My guess is that blonde you are going to want more make up more if the time.

JaneJeffer · 13/10/2018 14:36

I prefer the brunette. Brings out your eyes and lips. The blonde makes your features recede.
