Have I made a terrible mistake going blonde? (With pics)

Just went from brown-ish to blonde a few days ago and I am really not sure I like it!! I am seriously considering to go back to the hairdresser and dye it darker again.

Mumsnetters, please give me your honest opinion! Should I stay blonde or go back to brown?

PS: I am terribly un-photogenic, so please forgive the odd facial expression in both images

I think the longer style with the blonde pic is a bit Mumsy on you. The short crop is really striking and makes it all about your eyes which are great. I don't think the colour makes much difference just the cut. Blonde crop would look amazing.

Thinking about it though, you are giving it more attitude in the brunette photo. If you did the same in the blonde, you would probably look just as edgy.

After used to being dark, going blonde takes some getting used to,
I went from dark to blonde and it was a shock at first, but wouldnt go back to dark again, and remember ,blondes have more fum,[so they say]

Both look great they really do! The different colours change your look completely though. I would say the blonde makes you look well groomed whereas the brunette looks edgy and younger

You're lovely either way but I think you're prettier in the blond photo - but it's partly down to your makeup; I think it's all too dark and heavy in the brunette shot.

You have amazing eyes. Both colours suit you. I do prefer the dark hair slightly but I don’t know if that is partly how you have styled it and done your make up (dramatic eyes and subtle lips). But I still think the blonde looks lovely so I would keep it for a while then see how you feel.

I decided to grow out my hair into a blunt bob style, that js why I am currently going through the odd "mumsy" bowl length. Hopefully this phase will be over soon!!
