Princess Eugenie's wedding: The sartorial highs and lows. Plus Fergie's back, bitches!

Following on from the general royal style thread, which is fast filling up, here's one just to discuss today's outfits.

My predictions

I’m really hoping Fergie will look fabulous - <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/Ex3BbE" target="_blank">teal or <a class="break-all" href="http://go.mumsnet.com/?xs=1&id=470X1554755&url=goo.gl/images/oiAQaV" target="_blank">forest green look good on her.

After Kate's recent trip to the V&A, I’m hoping for something a bit more adventurous than a pale blue or yellow coat dress. Sophie in blue or pink Wickstead, Meghan in navy and/or boat-neck. She and Victoria Beckham may end up in similar outfits.

The Queen in fuchsia, neon green or yellow, Ladies Sarah and Helen in something elegant and understated, Karen Spencer in a dress that’s spectacular but so tight she can’t breathe.

And of course Princess Anne in a dress she's owned since 1986 that still fits her perfectly!

Some observations:

Flowers are gorgeous.
Eugenie appears to be marrying Bertie Wooster.
Prince Andrew seems to have turned into his dad.
Pixie Geldof looks weird. Very strange outfit indeed.
I can't understand what the Royals see in bloody Jimmy Carr. Why would you want that twat at your wedding?

I wonder whether Eugenie's dress will show her scoliosis scar? Something she said during her interview makes me think so. Good on her, if so.

Why are they showing their passes now? It isn’t as if they managed to get to the door of the church without showing them up to now. They’ve been through security and are being watched by hundreds of security!!

Yup! Andrew was rude. How is this not "public"? He clearly would have loved it to be the bigger royal wedding of all time.

Imagine how bored everyone inside will be, it's a long time to sit in a cold church.

Stupid question but what do the people in the red coats check? I presume IF and invites were checked before they could board a bus. Are they checking they have their seat numbers to hand?
