Talking of quality, my L/S raw top, the blue one has frayed really badly on the sleeves, if I keep cutting of stray bits the sleeves will be up to my elbows soon.
Also I think Hush, like a lot of companies once they begin to be really successful start downgrading the fabrics & finish to maximise profit in the hope that customers won’t notice.

dontcallmelen · 15/09/2018 14:15

Yy never I love a cardigan, another one of my rules though is that they can’t be longer than a coat, I can’t really wear big chunky jumpers either as TMI probably am madly menopausal & get really hot so thin layers are easier to throw off.

neveradullmoment99 · 15/09/2018 14:31

Well I am peri menopausal so sadly in the same position as you melen
Some cardigans in a few colours to match this season - In midnight, teal, the forest green and the burgundy and a staple in black would be amazing. Some bf ones and some a little short offered as staples to their collection. No idea why they don't do this. Like wise, jumpers in a V-neck and round neck in similar colours to match their skirt offerings. Maybe around the £40 mark so you can afford a skirt and a fine knit cardi, dress and a cardi. They don't seem to 'match' things at all well with their collection being mostly individual pieces. Years gone by I use to love love love white stuff for that. I would choose a dress and buy a little cardi to match.

neveradullmoment99 · 15/09/2018 14:33

White stuff are just hideous now with only the very odd thing catching my eye. I used to love everything in their catalogue years ago. Their stuff was utterly gorgeous. So sad. All horrible prints and shapeless sacks. The odd thing but that's a rarity.

neveradullmoment99 · 15/09/2018 14:35

I remember the model in one of the shots on the WS site with pushing a bike in the picture and she wore a gorgeous tunic dress that was just above the knee in glorious autumnal print that was beige with purple, teal navy and green circles on it [It sold out as did the coat]. She had long tan biker boots on with it and the most coveted apple green velour coat. She looked gorgeous. I wanted everything she had on. Gone are the days.

neveradullmoment99 · 15/09/2018 14:40

So, my hush parcel came. The tansy. Its ok - quite roomy. Ordered the 12. Could have got away with the 10 but it might have been a little neat across the shoulders. It is comfy. The print however [ I ordered the blue animal print] Is ok. A bit dull. Not sure if I will keep tbh. It is very good quality though. The material is lovely and heavy. It also looks pretty short. And Oh my. The zebra dress I absolutely love. Not sure whether to keep the 10 or 12. I am an 11 on this. Will try on later. The emile skirt in teal green is really nice too. Will take some pictures.

ilovecherries · 15/09/2018 14:43

ella, I put my wide jersey tops inside out in a net bag, so they don’t get twisted in the machine, then do them on a wool wash, with no problems.

miffy2 · 15/09/2018 15:19

@Ella, I am sure it has been asked before and if so, apologies, but can I ask where you got your leather jacket? I have the Onyx from Hush and while I love it, I would also like one with a slightly longer length; yours looks perfect.

Ellapaella · 15/09/2018 16:08

@miffy2 I'm afraid it's quite an old one from Wallis - 2015 I think. They might still do something similar, this is actually faux leather.

Ellapaella · 15/09/2018 16:08

Thanks @ilovecherries

dontcallmelen · 15/09/2018 16:24

Yy the whitestuff of bygone, used have such lovely colours & as you said never you would covet the whole outfit, also love a boyfriend cardigan I had some from Zara a few years & they were a lovely fine knit & washed/wore really well, not seen them for ages.

Ellapaella · 15/09/2018 16:34

I actually quite like this grey cardigan from Boden http://m.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-knitwear/knitted-cardigans/k0122-gry/womens-grey-melange-jessica-coatigan

DavetheCat2001 · 15/09/2018 16:59

Hello hello..hope everyone is well.

ella and never..so sorry you are having problems with your zebra skirts..how disappointing. You both look great in them too. Honestly Hush are taking the piss a bit with some of their quality at the moment.

I wore my leopard leggings and wide top out to the park with DD earlier. Both v comfy to wear but the sun came out and I was boiling!

I have a STONKING hangover today. Totally my own fault but I feel so bad I could cry. I am rapidly falling out of love with booze!

Still lusting after the Harlow boots but no way can I justify them at the moment.

Boden have some really nice boots in at the moment too I noticed the other day when my catalogue came through. Love that cardigan too ella.

Dave sending sympathy, my hangovers now last about three days whereas a few years ago, could dance on tables have four hours sleep & go to work the next morning.
Some of the boden stuff this season, is pretty good.

DavetheCat2001 · 15/09/2018 17:10

Thanks len..I really suffer with the emotional aftermath of a HO as well as the physical side.

I'm such an idiot..I was meant to be meeting my oldest friend this evening for drinks and a catch up, and I have had to cancel as feel so dreadful.

It was only OH and me last night getting our vinyl records out, playing music till late and drinking WAY too much...so stupid.

I am counting down the minutes until the kids are in bed...I want a curry, a film and the sofa!

2 bottles of red wine and a bucket load of gin between us

Ooh those are my favourite kind of nights Dave - We have 'spotify' wars - DH insists on Morrisey and Radiohead, we spend ages fighting over the playlist before eventually compromising on Stone Roses and will end up dancing round the kitchen until the early hours. We call it a 'light switch disco' as once I made DH turn the light on and off really quickly so it was like a disco! One bottle leads to another, we vow we will get up together in the morning with the DC and share the pain and then in the morning we both lie there pretending to be asleep and that we haven't heard when the DC wake up until one of us relents and gets up!
I hate hangovers too these days so you have my sympathy. I'm out tonight with friends but one of them is pregnant so I won't be drinking much. Love those boots.

DavetheCat2001 · 15/09/2018 17:41

haha ella that sounds exactly like our nights...except swap spotify for vinyl!

I love my vinyl..we have loads between us. I normally get my Smiths albums out too! OH insists on The Cure!

We went full on punk rock last night with The Dead Kennedy's and The Clash...my poor neighbours!

I am seriously contemplating ordering the boots..just to try on (yeah right!)...I have a 20% off code so they will be £112.

I think they will go with more than the Harlow boots too - which I love but wonder if next year I'll have fallen out of love with them!

Ellapaella · 15/09/2018 17:45

They did a very similar boot a couple of years ago but with a thinner heel. Boden shoes are really nice imo. One thing they always get right.

DavetheCat2001 · 15/09/2018 17:48

I envisage wearing them with opaques and my Hush Raven dress, or skinny black jeans, band t-shirt and leather jacket..what do you think?

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 15/09/2018 17:50

Yes definitely - all those will look great.

Ellapaella · 15/09/2018 17:56

Also lovely http://m.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-coats-jackets/coats/t0202-tan/womens-leopard-faux-fur-boxgrove-faux-fur-coat
And Boden have a parka that's suspiciously similar to the Hush one that I returned with leopard print lining.

Ellapaella · 15/09/2018 17:59

Cover thine eyes!! The trousers!

Ellapaella · 15/09/2018 17:59

Dave might be better not to look at those trousers with your hangover - might induce a migraine!😳
