Had a squirt of What Would Love Do? having read the favourable LT/TS review. This does smell just like Centrepiece, but with a (nicer) lemon opening. Not sure I entirely get why the Constantines get so much more love than 4160Ts in the latest edition? The similarities are interesting - is there some residual shared aesthetic?

MsJacksonIfUrNasty · 22/07/2018 21:59

I’ve been in WIDOMH today, on the beach in Brighton Grin.

Judydreamsofhorses · 22/07/2018 23:02

SOTD NRFH. Do you think all the acronyms on here are super confusing for lurkers?

MsJacksonIfUrNasty · 23/07/2018 00:53

Probably, Judy!

Sorry lurkers and newbies. I’m just lazy.

CountFosco · 23/07/2018 06:15

I'm on here the whole time and I sometimes get confused!

Me too Grin. I spent days once wondering wth LVEB was (La vie est belle). Days, I tell you!

White Queen today. Grapefruit, jasmine and frankincense. Shouldn't work, but does.

auberginesrus · 23/07/2018 09:13

Just took me a good few minutes to decipher NRFH Grin

On my travels again heading to a hot London in Rome 1963 which is fast becoming my go to. May have sniffing time later but alas funds are very short!

OutComeTheWolves · 23/07/2018 09:21

I've done a lot of googling since I started lurking on this thread - still figuring out NRFH though!

Yesterday sprayed myself with scenthusiasm for the first time ever while nursing possibly the worst hangover anyone has ever had in the world ever. I think I've ruined it for myself and it'll now forever be the smell I associate with a miserable day spent throwing up. Still not sure why I chose a perfume that was inspired by gin - big mistake Envy.

UnnecessaryFennel · 23/07/2018 09:25

Have a good day aubergines - I'm working from home today specifically so I don't have to slog into town...I loathe the tube in hot weather. Rome 1963 is a fab warm-weather scent though.

Excellent choice, Scenthusiasm and a hangover wolves Grin How are you feeling this morning?

OutComeTheWolves · 23/07/2018 10:00

Feeling better today thank you Fennel. Although I am still in my pjs and dh took the kids to school, so I haven't actually had to do anything productive yet.

OutComeTheWolves · 23/07/2018 10:01

Not school- their summer activity. Good job I wasn't doing the drop offs this morning!

PestymcPestFace · 23/07/2018 12:52

Narciso Rodriguez for her? I'm losing it too Blush

Judydreamsofhorses · 23/07/2018 13:41

Ha, yes, Narciso Rodriguez For Her. I am so lazy. Today is Heeley Sel Marin.

PestymcPestFace · 23/07/2018 13:53

Yey, no losing it, just going slow.

SotD is 4160 Doe in the Snow.

UnnecessaryFennel · 23/07/2018 14:01

My Les Senteurs samples have arrived.

Une Coeur de Desert is predictably divine. It's actually too similar too LADDM for me to want to buy a bottle (probably a good thing) but nevertheless it's sumptuous. Slightly less dry, more creamy with a more pronounced rose than LADDM but still very much the same beast. I might try the two side by side later.

Talking of beasts, however...am also trying Quality of Flesh by Homoelegans. Cripes. My left wrist smells like a pub carpet, if that pub was frequented by chainsmoking zookeepers with poor personal hygiene who'd just spent a hot day mucking out the anteater enclosure.

I am a fan of skank, and tobacco, and I suppose I should've had a clue from the name, but is quite the most unappealing thing I've ever sniffed.

CountFosco · 23/07/2018 14:47

Fennel worse than ELDO SM? To be fair, to me SM just smelt of oysters.

I still have not decided on a SotD. Still have some fog and tea perfumes from Bloom to try but my current preference is for the foggy ones. We're having a very slow day here.

OP posts:
UnnecessaryFennel · 23/07/2018 15:33

Yep, worse than SM, I think. I agree a lot of fuss is made about SM - it's not by any stretch of the imagination a 'nice' smell but it's (imo) weird and daft rather than actively grim. Whereas Quality of Flesh has a genuinely nasty 'piled-high ashtrays and stale urine' vibe.

I just need someone to pass it off onto now - any takers? Grin

UnnecessaryFennel · 23/07/2018 15:34

Sorry, for any lurkers that's Secretions Magnifiques by Etat Libre d'Orange Wink

MrsLucas · 23/07/2018 19:26

You're not really selling it Fennel especially in this heat. Does make you wonder how the design conversation went...?

AdoraBell · 23/07/2018 19:29

Lancôme Tresor today.

MrsLucas · 23/07/2018 19:33

I quite like having to decode things here - I'm useless at Sudoku and cryptic crosswords.

Have had a sticky day in London and am now sitting on a train that has broken down 2 mins out of the station Sad. It's going to be a long journey home...And I forgot to apply perfume this morning and didn't have a chance to dawdle in any shops on the concourse. Or pick up any food or drink Shock

XingMing · 23/07/2018 19:51

Good heavens, Fennel, where do you discover these items? I know I am in a very select group of people who don't hate SM (trust me, it works wonderfully on canal boat holidays) but full ashtrays and stale urine is an abomination sounds unpleasant.

No scent today: no time to think before it was out the door to get DS's car to the garage and get him to one of his paying clients, and walk Gou3 (Dog, in Mandarin) and then re-run scene in reverse, and then hit the victualling trail, followed by laundry duty. After that I needed a bit of reading and MN, and then made dinner -- a Sicilian style chicken salad. It's been lovely here; not too hot, about 23C, with a breeze, but I sympathise with everyone using public transport in metropolitan areas. There are upsides to being essentially retired.

PestymcPestFace · 23/07/2018 19:54

Sad MrsL I have been teaching people how to do Sudoku today, so any meeting this Summer and I will get you sorted. Good luck with the rest of the journey.

Mmm, just imagine the design conversation. " Remember when you were at a party and Ben pissed the bed and in a beer can full of butts, that is the jibe we want."

PestymcPestFace · 23/07/2018 22:15

SoDuko link I enable on many levels.

MrsLucas · 23/07/2018 22:58

Still on bloomin train so may give this his a whirl.
