Our smelly friend Blue had a list of cheapies (Blue thinking of you - hope you're doing Ok?).

From memory these included:

• Several of the Elizabeth Taylor 'jewels' series.

-SJP, Stash, Lovely & Covet.

• Queen Latifah.
• Mary Greenwell; Lemon, Fire, Plum, Cherry.(The Fragrance Shop).

-Yardley Jade. -Pharrel Williams Girl.

What else??

Gloria Vanderbilt might also fit the brief?

Definitely L'Aimant, Jade and White Diamonds (I forgot to tell you all, over the summer, I asked my very classy smelling Bulgarian friend what she was wearing- White Diamonds! So I snapped up 100mls from Ebay for £7.50!)
Allbeauty also does the revamped versions of Panache, Tweed etc. They are not as good as the old versions, but (esp) Panache smells a lot more expensive than it is. (When I got mine they were about £6 each)

SotD is PP Mossy Breaches, or something like that.

SOTD, inspired by chat yesterday, is Mary Greenwell Cherry.

Yves Rocher Perfumes. I love the Muguet and Lilas sprays. And the Neroli & lavender is also very good. As are the matching shower gels.

Silences is a much better cheaper version of Chanel no 19.

MrsR glad it arrived safe, shame it's not for you but worth a try. Hopefully you'll be able to swap it with someone else who will love it. I just couldn't get on with it and i tried, it always turned both sour and sweaty on me and much as i loved it in the bottle, it wasn't worth me hanging on to it just to sniff it that way! the plum has arrived just now btw

haha i got what you meant MrsR yeah i though it might be salt too, there's definitely something in it that can be quite jarring and on me it turns sour. such a shame as i did really love it, in the bottle, but i just couldn't wear it

I gave Outdoors another go yesterday. But Eau de Dirty Barnyard is not for me.

Haha, it's funny isn't it? Outdoors almost starts off with strong synthetic coconut to me, which I know isn't there!

Some great budget suggestions thank you. Think I had some 'white diamonds' once. (Weren't there also spin-offs like 'red diamonds'?)
