Just popping onto say hi and thanks for all the supportive messages you sent. I’ve had the most terrible morning sickness and unable to wear perfumes or peruse mumsnet Sad it seems to be on the wane thank goodness! So I’ve been following from afar. You all sound so stylish in your leapoard print, pink hair, stripes and Stan smiths btw Grin Bloody stuck in a time warp misogynists on that thread Shock

Baby is wanted (just a shock!) and all the other stuff going on I’m not letting bother me as family is what’s important to me. I had a lot of discrimination at work with first child (long story), went back & quit that job (had to pay all my Nat leave pay back to them Shock) and have had 3 promotions since - so I’m confident I can still pursue my career ambitions with 2 (mainly cause I have an amazing supportive husband).

Sorry there is no Perfume chat from me, but all smells are difficult to stomach right now!

Best wishes to all xx

Hey Blue! Lovely to hear from you - but sorry to hear about the sickness. I had extended absences from perfume during pregnancy and breast feeding - couldn't bear to wear it. But it made for an exciting renaissance when I got beyond that point, and had an appetite for a bit of an olfactory reset.

That's a very cool story Judy - would love to see your hair! Who cuts it?

Mrs8 - congratulations! (Poor planning on my part means 14 years in the same primary playground Shock). Sorry to hear about the ear. Follow Calm's link for the war...

Trying to think of freedom-themed smells for you Mrsr8. Surprisingly hard - perhaps MoV's Liberty?

This is my first EVER mumsnet posting after literally years of lurking, but I needed to share that thanks to these threads I’m now a 4160 addict. Which is timed brilliantly with another year of mat leave and no money.

Trying to work out what to buy with the current 20% off and am paralysed with choice.
If I love Who Knew, rhubarb and citrus, and sexiest scent, what should I try?

From FB
OK, you heard it here first. We've got the new pages up to date, and as long as you follow this link, and use the code newterm20, you can get 20% off full price fragrances until 9th September.
It doesn't work on the Naughty Cupboard or specials, but it works on the newly designed pages. See what you think.

PestymcPestFace · 29/08/2018 16:49

Doh!! link

MrsLucas · 29/08/2018 16:49

Thanks for de-lurking Lots!

If you like Who Knew! Rosa Ribes and Bodhi Language might also appeal?

And for Rhubarb and Citrus and The Sexiest Scent; yes, try Lemon Sherbert, and perhaps, Freeway or Amber Mambo?

If you haven't tried Rome 1963, Paris 1948, Babylon Sunset, White Queen, these could be worth a whirl?

SOTD Next Cashmere, lovely and cosy for a cooler day. Working from home, had a mini panic this morning when i realised my dial in meeting was actually via video conference so had to quickly go brush hair and do something with my face!
Glad to hear from you Kittens, hope the morning sickness eases soon.
Judy I also love Katie Puckrik and Amy Lame on the radio, neither of whom have ever complimented me on anything, but I did once sit at the next table to Mary Ann Hobbs when having something to eat before a gig Grin. Had no idea KP was into perfume, will have to do some googling.

MrsLucas · 29/08/2018 19:50

You have a treat in store Aubergines - have a look on YouTube.

Judydreamsofhorses · 29/08/2018 20:13

Lots of love to you, blue.

mrsLucas I go to an Aveda salon. My hairdresser is FAB. Let me see if I can PM a hair photo.

aubergine have a look here:

SOTD was L’Air de Rien.

Lotsofpots · 29/08/2018 21:22

Rosa ribes is in the shopping basket. Will check out the other recommendations - thanks all.

I adore Babylon Sunset MrsLucas but I tried it when my wonderful MIL was staying and she fell head over heels for it, so I bought a bottle for her to say thank you for being ace. Sadly means I can't wear it anymore...

Hello all! Am back from the US and desperately trying to stay awake until bedtime...I want to sleeeeep!

Also having Sephora-withdrawal; it's definitely A Thing. I am deeply enamoured of the American penchant for 10ml samples or rollerballs, and may have purchased one or two (or three, or four...) So I am now the owner of Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee, Commodity Book, and MMM Lazy Sunday Morning and By The Fireplace! Judy, your lovely decant was waiting for me when I got in just now, so thank you and I hope you don't mind that I've already topped up with another 10mls but I just couldn't resist it Grin Blush

Dirty Honey worked really well in a hot, sweaty NYC, btw. Ealing Green was a welcome blast of fresh English air at times, too.

Hope everyone is well. kittens, amazing news and hope the morning sickness is passing. Will now go back and properly catch up!

CountFosco · 30/08/2018 17:55

Tried Coromandel today (joys of being in Paris!). Too sweet for my taste but can tell it's quality.

SOTD is Diptyque Philosykos.

Welcome back, fennel. I think you and I are on the road to being perfume twins, we have quite a few in common now!
