Ohhh, autumn scents! Mine would have to be:

4160s Another Kiss by the Fireside
L'AP Amour Nocturne
MG Fire
CdG Avignon
Serge Lutens' Chergui
Clinique Aromatics Elixir

Probably.

UnnecessaryFennel · 13/08/2018 20:34

Actually, Avignon is perhaps more January-March rather than Sept/Nov...oh it's too hard! Grin

SOTD Chanel Coco, the lighter one.

Had a long day visiting sick MIL.

Still can’t afford to indulge in new scents

UnnecessaryFennel · 14/08/2018 07:12

Well after yesterday's autumn chat I'm in a super-summery scent. Entre Ciel et Mer by Pierre Guillaume is the smell of a deserted beach first thing in the morning, as the sun is coming up. The main notes for me are salt, seaweed, water and pear. It's surprisingly soft, though, and I like it a lot.

So excited about finally getting away on holiday tomorrow. No idea what to take though. What perfume could get you through an 11-hour economy flight?!

Fennel, perhaps wait until you get to the airport and have a lovely time testing and then decide which one to spritz? If it were me I’d probably go for something like Chanel Beige.

Second browsing in the airport shop for something to spritz. Hope you have a lovely time Fennel

MrsL I'm sorry it is too early for Autumn although I cleaned and waterproofed all my boots this morning!

After the bank holiday Smile Autumn perfumes are, IMO September - November (specifically Bonfire Night, but I accept I love rules too much). So then it would be Winter perfumes, Opium, Shalimar, Karma and the like. Perhaps am I overthinking. I don't have a spreadsheet honestly Wink

Adora the only thing I have bought recently was the PP Creed, I too am on a spending embargo (is that the right word?) Teenagers and Summer holidays - not a good combination. The amount of bread and milk we go through Shock

Fennel have a fab holiday. No suggestions for 11 hour flight save Valium and vodka. Perhaps a light blanket with a lavender spray? I'm terrified of flying though, scented blanket would be for over my head. At duty free I would be spritzing lovely things on a mouliette (I just like to say that) and putting them in my cabin bag!

SOTD is Narcisco Rodriguez for men sample (don't ask, I wanted to try the womens') but actually I like it on me.

I cannot believe that I didn't even think about airport duty free!

MrsLucas · 14/08/2018 17:47

11 hours is a long time to wear things you are not keen on though (and why does perfume intensify on planes whilst food flavour disappears? LT would be the himan to ask?). Yes, mouilettes are the way to go. I spent most of a recent flight to Palma working out which of my 12 or so test strips were which, and which smelt bestSmile.

Judydreamsofhorses · 14/08/2018 20:38

SOTD is JHAG Mad Madame.

fennel and mrsR, DP is off posting your parcels right now. I filled an atomiser for each of you - the kitchen smells amazing - so I hope they travel okay.

I am excited about autumn! I have just ordered the black fur coat from the Hush preview thing. I need another faux fur like I need more perfume, but I don’t have a black one, so YOLO.

Judy, thank you so much, will definitely look forward to that! xx

Have packed a few scented bits and bobs including Freeway (as will be driving on, ummm, a freeway) and Sunshine & Pancakes (because, er, hopefully there will be both of those). Hopelessly literal Grin

YukonGold · 14/08/2018 22:28

Call me a slattern for not showering since yesterday morning but blimey oh riley the Perfume Parlour Dove soap perfume is something else.....

I ordered 12 x 3ml oils and they arrived yesterday, in wanting to smell washed and fresh I slapped on the Dove dupe to see how it lasted....

I can still smell it now, at least 36hours later! What fantastic perfume this Is! In fact it’s going to have to force me out of slatterndom and into a shower tomorrow to try another fragrance!

AdoraBell · 14/08/2018 22:35

SOTD Givenchy 111. I was worried I’d bought a dud via Amazon as it’s a different colour and it squirts instead of spraying. Teenage DD confirmed it smells nice though, so they must have changed the formula since I last bought it.

Floofy one of my teens has her bff visiting from overseas next week. I’m taking them to London for a few days. Friend has never been to the UK before. It’s costing me a small bloody fortune but DD hasn’t seen her friends for over 3 years due to families moving countries.

Ha Fennel you're as literal as I am with your holiday scent choices. Have a fabulous time.

SOTD is Hermes Eau de Rhubarb cologne. Nice but reminds me of the method cleaning spray Smile
