Thanks for the tip Calm I'll stock up when I get back. Their allergy range is one of the few things I can tolerate without reacting but luckily I love the smell. Lots of lovely French pharmacy brands over here but £££.
SOTD is Eau Drs Merveilles. Would love a FB of this it's glorious.

auberginesrus · 12/08/2018 13:36

des obvs Blush

CountFosco · 12/08/2018 15:34

SotD EA Green Tea. Haven't worn this while it has been roasting but now it's cooler I'm feeling citrussy again.

I know what you mean Fennel. I like Kenzo L'Elephant a whole lot more for this cardamon note. Something here is borderline flyspray?

Judydreamsofhorses · 12/08/2018 20:07

SOTD Tauer Lonestar Memories. It feels quite autumnal here today.

That sounds fab Mrsr8 Smile

I'm in Lady Rose Lion today. Peachy chypre-style. Surprised by how much I like it, tbh - not usually much of a fan of Sarah's fruity outings but this is complex, interesting and wonderfully old-fashioned. Wouldn't bother with an FB though.

I knew someone on here hated LRL! I can see why it might divide opinion.

White Queen is a very non-gourmand gourmand, imo.

Not sweet - more a staple bread and milk kind of gourmand. Perhaps a fancy sort of bread and butter pudding, sprinkled with nuts, eaten in room where a lot of incense and candles are used?

Judydreamsofhorses · 13/08/2018 19:13

SOTD Tauer LDDM.

fennel and mrsR those atomisers arrived this afternoon, so pm me your addresses and I will try and do the decanting tomorrow. I am back at work on Thursday (urgh) so should be able to nip to the post office at lunchtime - thankfully we have no students for the first couple of weeks, and can ease into up a bit!

cloud1183 · 13/08/2018 19:25

SOTD now that it’s a little cooler, I’ve gone for pomegranate noir.

Thank you Judy, will drop you a pm. No rush though - I'm off on hols on Weds morning Grin

BarbaraCartlandsFloofyCat · 13/08/2018 20:18

Judy belated reply but no I didn't have "days" knickers (probably because my mum knew what I was like Grin) Interestingly I bought sniffly DS1 some handkerchiefs embroidered with the days of the week (yes I'm in the wrong decade!) and he also insisted on using them correctly or not at all^^ Hmm

Yukon what did you order from the Perfume Parlour? I tend to go for the smaller sprays as worry about the oil marking my clothes (oh all right, my pearls BlushGrin Definitely in the wrong decade!)

On the subject of PP, I got the Creed Vanilla Sublime (I think the real one name is in French as you would expect at the price Hmm) after reading that it was a Summer version of Shalimar. I don't think it is. I think it's a £££ lighter variation of Obsession, myself! Has anyone else tried either the real thing or PP dupe? Lasts forever though, as does everything I am ambivalent about!

(Talking of Obsession) MrsR I bet you would like it ^^

Yes I'm going to say it, AUTUMN I can't bring myself to crack out the Obsession just yet but SOTD is Mary Greenwell Plum, as the name is just so Autumnal even if the scent isn't.

What about top (say five) Autumn perfumes? I was going to say three but it's too hard! Mine are, in no particular order:

MG Fire
Mandorlo di Sicilia
Kenzo Amour
Paloma Picasso
Nina Ricci (I think it's L'eau Fraiche without getting up to check)
(A new contender this year) 24 Faubourge

I know that's six but that's as good as I can get. Oh, Obsession! Seven! Damn it. Top seven perfumes then Grin

(Please excuse any SPaG errors btw, currently off my face which is quite pleasant and possibly not the wisest mood to be choosing perfume Grin)

BarbaraCartlandsFloofyCat · 13/08/2018 20:19

And please excuse the formatting fails! Off my face on new medication, just to explain that a bit better!

Calmanddance · 13/08/2018 20:22

That’s a good description of White Queen, MrsLucas! It’s definitely not sweet, Mrsr8.

I wore Tauer’s Une Rose de Kandahar yesterday. It’s a beautiful rose with patchouli, incense and other lovely things to give it depth. Very wearable and I could still smell it this morning, so long-lasting. Today, to compare, I put on Tauer’s Incense Rose. Also beautiful, but much more about the incense. BTW, I read a tweet from Andy Tauer saying that he now selling samples from his website, but still not full bottles to the UK. These are only available from Les Senteurs.
