The standout good for-all-occasions was SJP’s Covet, an unusual geranium chocolate. It lasts, sillage is low so doesn’t annoy other travellers, and is good for daytime or evening. It is also very cheap!

That's all good to know thanks! I love her Lovely perfume and keep thinking of trying this one.

Coffeecoffeebuzzbuzzbuzz · 03/05/2018 16:37

SOTD was raw silk and red roses which is very subtle on me. Inspired by some of your suggestions I have a tester of Shay and Blue blood orange and l’eau Hadrian on the way. I suspect this thread will be bad for the bank balance!

ThenCameTheFools · 03/05/2018 19:04

Great news Judy! So pleased for you!

Eau d'Hadrien again this morning, and Anais Anais this afternoon.

Accompanying students to big city for exams and snotty posho perfumery tomorrow, so will probably outsnoot nasty spraying woman with Chanel 19 EdP.

PestymcPestFace · 03/05/2018 19:07

SotD is Eclat d’Arpège. Extremely soft lilac and tea. Probably too soft for today, may go and top up with something different. But I may be too tired and achy to walk up the stairs. I am not impressed by getting older.

SJP's Covet is brilliant. The original green one. One of the few that makes DH say "Mmmm, you smell nice".

Oooh, got some Shay & Blue Blood Orange in the M&S calendar and still have not tried it Blush

Glad to hear your problem is only tooth grinding Judy.

MrsSettergren · 03/05/2018 19:07

Calm - has somebody filled you in now on the NCs?

MrsSettergren · 03/05/2018 19:09

SotD was Traversee du Bosphore.

mrsreynolds · 03/05/2018 19:21

I am now in sexiest scent extrait

Mmmmmmm

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 03/05/2018 19:37

I wonder how we'd fair in a NC-identifying game with a shortlist of favourite scents to pick from?

Looking forward to hearing about El Posho shop Then Hope the students behave themselves.

Had a bad day at work with HR frustrations. But also managed to get weekend tickets to see Dippy the Dino next month so should have some happy boys. Dino scent ideas though?!

And speaking of themes, It's a couple of weeks away so not quite flash mob but should we go with a Royal theme on the 19th? White Queen, Queen of Spades...?

SotD was Jasmin et Cigarette.

OCSock · 03/05/2018 19:42

It's a good idea Cheap, but I would be struggling have to buy a regal perfume.

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 03/05/2018 19:45

Elizabeth Taylor? Elizabeth Arden?

MrsSettergren · 03/05/2018 19:50

Cheap - do explain the NC game; 'fraid my brain isn't working tonight.

LibertyBlue · 03/05/2018 19:51

SOTD Chanel exclusifs Bois de iles sprayed en route at airport to business meeting

Currently stuck at airport facing a long delay. My bank holiday weekend has already started with a big glass of Marlborough SB

Coffeecoffeebuzzbuzzbuzz · 03/05/2018 19:51

Maybe a fragrance from a house with the royal warrant? (Only Penhaligon springing to mind at the moment).

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 03/05/2018 19:56

MrsS Imagine a NCer posting the clue "Sexiest Scent" - think we'd all do well at that!

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 03/05/2018 19:57

Sorry to hear that Blue. Delays can be fun if you can just shop and have a drink but horrid when you just want to be home.

CountFosco · 03/05/2018 20:04

SotD MG Lemon. I love the bitterness of this.

There seems to be lots of celebrity fragrances with Queen in the name. What's everyone's favourite royal fragrance and how tenuous is the link? So I can get some inspiration obviously Grin

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 03/05/2018 20:14

Ooh, Putain Des Palaces?

Judydreamsofhorses · 03/05/2018 20:57

SOTD is Diptyque Philosykos - I recently replaced this, as mine was almost done, but actually got the oil and body lotion (mainly with SNK credit, so almost free) instead of a perfume spray.

Thank you all for the good wishes. I have to go for an MRI next to see if there are nerve issues - I’ve had a weird buzzy feeling since that tooth was extracted last summer - has anyone had one?

So looking forward to a three-day weekend!

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 03/05/2018 21:16

Hi Bunty I love sporty citrus too. Such a fresh fragrance but never met anyone else who knows it. Glad to find you!
Also love Covet too but never sure what I smell and really don’t get chocolate or lavender but something brings me back to it.
If there’s a Royal wedding theme, I’ll be wearing Queen Latifah’s red one. Great huge berry loveliness! And fab bottle too!

positivepineapple · 03/05/2018 21:42

Royal theme? 🤔

Nothing springs to mind as yet, I might need to spend a justification - yay!

Fragrant friends, I need your help. I want a Vetiver scent - but I would like a budget option. I'm not sure if it's Love or Lust just yet......

mrsreynolds · 03/05/2018 21:52

I have judy. It's fine if a bit noisy. I rather relish the lie down!!

I have my gastroscopy appt for 18th 😔

I'm a republican so wont be joining in the royal wedding themed day (hope it keeps fine for them etc....)

I'm on eBay again. Oh dear.

UnnecessaryFennel · 03/05/2018 21:56

How about Citizen Queen? ;)

Judydreamsofhorses · 03/05/2018 22:06

Thanks, mrsR, I think this might be a standing one for head only.

(I am not a royal fan either.)

mrsreynolds · 03/05/2018 22:10

Prob be a ct scan then
You lie on a bed and go forwards and backwards in a big donut type thing 😁
Also quite noisy
Obv not painful at all

mrsreynolds · 03/05/2018 22:11

Fennel 😁

I'm thinking something a bit.....rebellious....for that day?
