Here we go again... A merry whirl of things of things that smell delicious (and sometimes not).

Is def MRI, so maybe I am wrong. I had to get bloods done to check I was fit for it, and made a right show of myself by crying. Also the consultant made his student “observer” bring me tea and biscuits because I am a fainter. (And had been there three hours by that point.) For shame.

I’ll wear the pirate thing from the Big Sniff for the wedding. All swashbuckling and knives.

Wearing Jardin Mystique today. I really enjoy the Lily of the valley and soft muskiness of this, but find it so reminiscent of something I wore in my youth. The only one I can think of is Charlie? Unless there was a Annuck Goutal that smelt like this.

Hmmm Royal wedding theme. How about Illuminum White Gardenia flowers? Teta sent me a sample - it’s beautiful, Kate Middleton wore this on her wedding day. I think the company went bust so the Kate effect didn’t help them. Poor Kate - she chose a Perfume that’s been discontinued already.

PP - I do really rate TF Grey Vetiver (aka Distinguished Silver Carrots) plus you get to channel Captain of Industry, which can be fun.

L'Encre Noir is a cheap modern vetiver with a cult following. If money were no object, Sycomore would be the one to head for.

Vetiver Insolent is worth a sniff.

Pineapple, for vetivers, seconding the Tom Ford, Sycomore and Encre Noire and adding Vetiver Tonka (Hermèssences, so £££) which is my personal favourite. The PP dupe of Sycomore is okay, very green, but it doesn't have an easy-to-work-out homonymic name any more.

I love having my hair done Mrs R but I have a really lovely hairdresser I've k nwn for years so is always a good opportunity for a catch up.

SOTD is PP Gucci Envy - cut grass deliciousness. Still getting over my infection so it is cheering me up as I drag myself into work for a meeting.

I'm considering a blue highlight :)

SOTD is Debaser by DS & Durga. Really love this, fresh green figgy loveliness. I'm trying to snap myself out of a foul mood, work-related irritations and insufferable sanctimony from people who really don't hold the moral high-ground from which to be sanctimonious 😂

mrs r blue highlights are fab. I’ve had pink myself but sadly they didn’t last very long.
unnecessary fennel I hope your day improves. I’m a fan of figgy fragrances, they are very summery.
SOTD is the very non-nice Burberry Brit for Her. Baby kept me up all night so I wanted something uncomplicated and comforting which the very linear almond and vanilla provide.

MrsSG Laughing out loud here! imagining you (or me) doing just that. In my version we are wearing power suits which are 5 sizes too big, there's also some dodgy 80's hair going on (of course I have no idea what any of you look like - although I do have little images in my head)

Not keen on the Guerlain vetiver - which is a shame as that's a great price. Tom Ford & MIller Harris are leading.

I also popped into M&S - they do a Bourbon Vetiver which smells exactly like loo cleaner.

Do I blind buy Encre Noir? The Allbeauty price is tempting and it has good reviews on Fragrantica.
