Do it! Love dungarees! I think as long as your confident you can pull it off.

Niminy · 11/04/2018 23:01

Currently wearing my new and lovely dungarees at the ripe old age of 56.

Fireballfriends · 11/04/2018 23:41

They're just so comfy! DH thinks they should be left in the 90s but he has clothes that literally are from the 90s so I just can't take his opinion seriously.

Screw it I'm wearing them. YOLO.

Do it! I’d love a pair but I’m too short and fat.
I had a dungaree dress but the zip broke in the wash.

ShopoholicIn · 12/04/2018 10:02

I had bought one last year but didn't wear it till last week... i love them.. i am 37 too... go for it

LivBonas · 12/04/2018 10:11

I bought a pair a few weeks ago, honestly they're so comfy, you should go for it! Plus, you can smarten them up if you want to with a pretty blouse or shirt underneath - they're versatile. I bought blue denim ones, and I'm now thinking of buying the exact same style in the black colourway!

Rachie1986 · 12/04/2018 10:13

Dungarees....
DomesticAnarchist · 12/04/2018 10:50

Love them! Where do I find these dungarees?! 💴

TossDaily · 12/04/2018 11:04

Love mine - and I'm 44 and a size 14.

I'm gutted that the Hush black ones are sold out in my size.

IHaveBrilloHair · 12/04/2018 11:07

I've a shorts pair and a few dresses, love them and I'm 40

Fireballfriends · 12/04/2018 11:38

jesus you look fab! They are just like mine (from Topshop - not sure how to attach photo?). Very glad to see other over 30, 40s, 50s (and more?!) rocking the dungatrend.

I am on the sofa right now watching Mamma Mia whikst bfeeding and admiring Meryl Streep's pair!

What sort of shape are you guys? I am really pear shaped nd worry that they will emphasise the difference in size between my top and bottom half.

IfNot · 12/04/2018 11:46

I have never stopped wearing them since. ..well, childhood! I had some acid green ones in the 90s GrinNow have a selection of black denim, pale denim, silky printed ones and dark denim straight leg.
I'm a chunky booby hourglass. I don't care if they look silly they are sooo comfy and don't create muffin top. Wink

IHaveBrilloHair · 12/04/2018 14:09

I've just ordered long ones, also seen a bright pink dungaree dress which I want.

IHaveBrilloHair · 12/04/2018 14:10

From ASOS petite btw, the mid blue ones.

zippyswife · 12/04/2018 17:29

@jesus you look fab. That’s exactly what I want to look like.. at 40 though.. where are they from?

zippyswife · 12/04/2018 17:30

@Toss (and any other pps) where are they from? And how fitted do you wear them?

JesusTapdancingChrist · 12/04/2018 17:33

zippys they're just from New Look.

I like my dungarees to look loose and kinda 90's so sized up. I'm an apple shape so and the tighter fitting, slim leg kind look atrocious on me.

I do find then quite hard to find though despite scouring eBay etc regularly. And they tend to go for quite high prices Sad.

zippyswife · 12/04/2018 17:35

Thanks Jesus- I’m an apple too so that’s good to hear. They’re really flattering on you. Yes I’ve looked on eBay but as you say they seem to go for relatively high prices.

bingohandjob · 12/04/2018 18:57

Lucy & Yak do lovely corduroy ones...they are so comfy and I love how they look.

TossDaily · 12/04/2018 21:07

I have a blue denim pair from last year's Bowden catalogue. I like mine baggy and usually wear them with the top side button undone for extra roominess.

On the back of this thread I checked Hush again and managed to order a black pair! Someone must have returned a pair Smile

TheFirstMrsDV · 12/04/2018 21:10

I have just bought a pair from Sainsburys in dark blue denim. I tried them on, not expecting much and loved them.
Mine are cropped and tight fitting.
Can't wait to wear them.

I am 50
