I want to online shop (but for someone who is not me), does anybody need anything?

I don't mean I'll actually buy you anything (sorry if you got excited there), I'm just in the mood to do some browsing but can't justify getting anything at all for myself.

If you are having difficulty finding an outfit/item or you just hate the search please give me a brief and I'll do my best to help!

Can you please find me a black velvet frock coat with flared sleeves and a black and white striped maxi skirt (cotton, stripes that are vertical and fairly narrow, A-line or circle shaped skirt.) I'm having a nightmare trying to find either!

If you’re still taking requests, I’m after some black work trousers, smart and reasonably on trend.
Washable, for a size 8 petite woman.
The last ones I had were from Finery and I wore them to death.
Budget up to about £80 I suppose.

Also a red jumper suitable for a winter skin tone, so blue-red rather than yellow-red. Super warm, perhaps cashmere, v-neck or cowl neck or similar. I’m thinking loose rather than tight-fitting, but again flattering for a petite woman. Budget as necessary.

Thank you!

BigFatBloomers · 12/04/2018 08:27

I think there are about 20 people on here waiting for suggestions.

I think everyone may be better off starting their own threads.

ThisIsTheFirstStep · 12/04/2018 08:31

I’m looking for high top trainers, not the wedge type, and in a bright colour (ie not black, white or grey) and not Converse/Vans. All I can find are low tops and I like high tops!

Shippable to South Korea would be a huge bonus.

ThisIsTheFirstStep · 12/04/2018 08:33

travelling for the trousers, have you tried Uniqlo? I’m short and their stuff usually fits me well.

TravellingFleet · 12/04/2018 08:39

Thank you, FirstStep - we don’t have a Uniqlo locally but I could certainly look if I go to London.

ThisIsTheFirstStep · 12/04/2018 08:51

travelling they have an online shop too if you don’t mind doing it like that. I buy their ankle length stuff which is just normal length for me.

ChesterBelloc · 12/04/2018 09:10

Sparkwood - I was in Primark yesterday and they had 100% cotton short (but not cropped) button down cardigans in a variety of colours for around/under a tenner. I'm petite and short-waisted, and always on the look-out for short/cropped things, so these caught my eye!
Can't find them on their website though, sorry Confused

relaxitllbeok · 12/04/2018 09:30

@BigFatBloomers Yes! Thank you! (Admittedly I have only bookmarked it, not bought it, because I have to think about whether I can afford it right now... but I think that's going to have to be a yes...)

IrvinaYalom · 12/04/2018 11:21

@userofthiswebsite I was on holiday in Cornwall, it was rainy, I was bored. I was itching to browse online but v conscious of my current lack of income/excess of clothes. I didn't want to online window shop without purpose so I came here seeking purpose- I had no ulterior motive I assure you.

I do agree that anyone in true need (who's not being seen to) should start their own thread though, the thought of someone falling through the cracks and being ignored on here is making me all anxious!

@BigFatBloomers Thanks. I hadn’t come across Uniqulo before. I’m going to have a virtual browse.

@clairethewitch70
I've just seen another maker of medieval-style dresses
www.etsy.com/uk/listing/235269640/raevena-dress-gothic-velvet-chiffon?ref=shop_home_active_21. She does custom orders too.

relaxitllbeok
Perhaps you should just order it to try it on and see ..

Hope you find something you think he might like

I'm sure it was a great way of passing a rainy time on holiday. I had a fun time yesterday on a day I wasn't working.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie
Thank you so much! Going to go for the PeopleTree one! Lovely website I can see I'll be visiting a lot in the future.
The Selfridges one is gorgeous but a bit out of budget.

SparkwoodAnd21 · 16/04/2018 06:56

ChesterBelloc I’ll have another look in there, thank you.
